Technology has evolved over the years, today the use of the internet and media

have become part of our routine, and each group of people has adapted in
different ways.
Indigenous peoples, with a lot of customs and culture, have been going through
a hard transition to the use of technology, maybe because they don’t have
enough information or just the fear of it, and for that they avoid using
technology.
Nowadays some Indigenous peoples are permitting technology for different
objectives such as communication and education, to work and to tell their
stories from their own perspective. This use of technology has also allowed
them to meet other indigenous peoples.
Colombia example:
In Colombia, non-indigenous organizations have been creating apps such as
SAI (Indigenous Ancestral Wisdom). , to permit anyone to know more about the
ancestral wisdom of indigenous peoples.
Here there are four applications of games, one of Children's activities, two of
magical tales of the ancestors and one of hidden objects. I didn't realize how
many ways indigenous people can use the technology.
Also in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is using information
technologies to establish networks that will enable the political participation of
indigenous peoples in Latin America. Highlighting to the young people and
women.
But on the other hand there are still groups that reject any type of technology,
because this affects their spiritual space and they forbid indigenous peoples to
be part of that.
