The signal words and their meanings are defined as follows, Please understand their meanings clearly before reading this manual Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death, serious injury, serious property damage, or occurrence of fire, 3 Indicates @ potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death, serious Injury, serious property damage, or occurrence of fire. Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may cesuit in minor or moderate injury, property damage or loss of data. NOTE: Indicates information of Interest to users of equipment as to exceptional anditions or operating procedures, No. 26201-1276 so 2. Safety Precautions Please observe the following precautions to ensure the safety of the service engineer as well as operators when servicing this equipment DANGER: 1. wen sorvicing is to be performed with the system cover open, be ‘Sure to tum OFF the power of the system. Otherwise unexpected system operation could cause a fatal injury. Wit is necessary to perform servicing with the system tumed ON, supply power only to the required parts. Take safety measures such as turning OFF the power of the cover switch and the rotation servo motor of the gantry. |. When disconnecting the high-voltage cable, turn power OFF and \wait five minutes or more, then remove the bushing on the high- voltage transformer side first. When the high-voltage cable has been disconnected, simultaneously ‘Ground two of the three pins at the top of the bushing and repeat the Procedure for all three combinations. Perform the procedure for each combination at least twice. (Fully discharge any charge remaining in the high-voltage cable and ensure safety.) ‘The voltage in the LCSR of the gantry (slip ring section) is high and will cause electric shocks. Turn OFF the breaker of the distribution board before mounting/removing the rear dome cover. Do not turn ON the power of the gantry when the rear dome cover is removed. . Note that gantry rotation continues even if an eXam Plan Is Interrupted. {n particular, when a phantom is replaced with the gantry cover opened, be sure to terminate the eXam Pian (to stop rotation of the ‘rotation section) and then tum OFF CP320 (power to the rotation servo motor). When NFB2 of the gantry is ON, 200 V is applied to the primary {upper} terminat of MC113 regardless of the CP'1 ON/OFF setting. ‘Therefore, be extremely careful to avoid electric shock due to accidental contact. ‘The MC113 cover is provided for safety; therefore, remove the cover ‘only when necessary. Do not remove the cover as there are high-voltage sections in the console monitor and the X-ray high-voltage generator in the gantry Accidental contact may cause an electric shock, possibly resulting in death, No, 2C201-1278 $2 |. Make sure tnat ground cables are securely connected for electrical ‘shock prevention and stable system operation. ‘Do not operate the system in the atmosphere containing flammable anaesthetic gases or explosive gases including oxygen. After opening the gantry front cover, support the cover with two Supporting poles to the rear of the cover. Use the supporting poles the supporting poles are used incorrectly or the cover is lifted Inadvertent, the supporting poles may fall causing the cover to close suddenly due to its weight, resulting in injury. Before starting service procedures, turn OFF the breaker and all the sbystem power switches on the distribution board, After completing the work, be sure to confirm that all mounting ‘screws of the cover are tightened firmly. ifthe gantry is tilted with the screws not tightened firmly, the cover ‘may open, fall, or interfere with objects around it, leading to injury or damage. fa part of the rotation section of gantry is to be removed, be sure ‘operation oF a short-circuit is caused by any art being touched with the probe of the measuring instrument.) ‘Be sure to turn OFF the servo amplifier circuit protector (CP320) ‘except when rotating the rotation section of gantry. No. 20201-127E 83 9, When the rotation section of gantry Is to be rotated manualy, it is necessary 10 supply power to the gantry stationary section in order to release the brake. (Wf the rotation section of gantry is rotated while the brake is engaged. a failure may be caused. Be sure to ‘release the brake before starting rotation.) ‘Turn OFF the servo amplifier circuit protector CP320, and then turn ON the brake release switch SW326. At this time, if the weight balance of the rotation section is not preserved, the rotation ‘section may rotate suddenly. Be careful to prevent hands, etc. from being caught in the rotation section, 10, Be sure to clean the slip ring section of this system every three months. braded materials from the brush accumulate, they may generate ‘smoke or catch fire. 1. When installation work must be temporarily interrupted, take appropriate measures such as closing the cover etc. to ensure safety. 2 Connecting or using any device in combination may cause the system to operate unstably of dangerously. 3. Make sure that the power supply, frequency, vottage and voltage fluctuation vaiues conform to the specifications of the system. 4. Keep the site room at proper temperature and humidity, and well ‘ventilated. Keep the systam protected from unnecessary vibration or shock. 5. Make sure that ail cable connectors are connected correctly and that the cables and oll houes are arranged property. 6, Make sure that no cooling oit leaks. 7. Before starting X-ay exposure, check whether the necessary protective measures have been taken, so that the door is closed, no persons or X-ray sensitive materials such as film are in the scanner room, and X-rays do not leak from the scanner room, ‘8. When replacing or checking parts that can be damaged by static electricity, such as PWEs, hard disks, etc., be sure to wear an antistatic wristband. 9, I the 2.0-MHU X-ray tube is installed in the system, do not perform 0.75-second rotation from the gantry maintenance panel, Doing so may damage the X-ray tube.
