To foster a work environment in which our diverse stakeholders bring their unique perspectives,
to help Grainger grow profitably.

To expand the range of opportunities that exceeds the aspirations of our diverse employees
across the enterprise.

To create bottom-line value and become the preferred partner for employees, customers,
suppliers and local communities.

Education
To embed diversity and inclusion into every learning opportunity, to enhance cultural
competence and develop high-performing teams.

ORK LIFE

Training and Development

All employees are encouraged to take advantage of the training and development classes
Grainger offers. Since 2001, some 2,300 managers, directors and vice presidents have completed
facilitator-led training.
We also offer numerous programs specific to diversity. Among recent accomplishments:

 All leaders and managers participated in diversity training.


 We launched an online diversity course, which has been completed by more than 5,000
employees since 2006.
 Diversity training is now offered in Grainger's branch network.

Benefits

In addition to highly competitive health benefits and profit sharing, Grainger also offers domestic
partner benefits to eligible employees. We help our employees in still other ways. For example,
we sponsor a free bus shuttle service for employees at our headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois,
to help with their commute.

Grainger supports the growth and development of minority, women and small businesses. And
we do business with these companies more than ever before. Our comprehensive Supplier

Grainger's Business Resource Groups are an inclusive collection of employees who voluntarily
work together to advance our position in the global marketplace by leveraging the unique
perspectives of our people.

Mission

To serve and operate as an empowered, inclusive network of employees under corporate


sponsorship that leverages and shares personal knowledge and experiences to enhance
professional growth, promote multicultural understanding and positively affect Grainger's
bottom line.

Vision

To contribute to Grainger's competitive advantage in the global marketplace by enhancing our


organizational capability, through development of our human capital, diverse leadership
development, targeted market intelligence and community outreach programs.

 The African-American Business Resource Group focuses on developing retention


strategies and targeted coaching and mentoring for members.
 The Latino Business Resource Group seeks to create value for Grainger by providing
distinctive recruitment strategies, while providing educational awareness and enrichment
to Latino communities.
 The Women's Business Resource Group promotes professional and personal development
of women to take advantage of leadership opportunities.
 The Asian/Pacific Islander Business Resource Group focuses on providing resources
