Contributing Strengths of the Philippines

The two strength of the Philippines that may contribute to a greater integration

among counties in the Asian region is being strong in terms of economy. Even though

we are listed at the lowest part of rankings in terms of economy, the Philippines’

economy remains strong and is projected to grow in 2020 and 2021. Another strength

that may come in handy is having a large population that is young with good command

of English skills. As discussed in our classroom, Filipinos have high literacy rate in which

almost all of the Filipinos are good in English skills. I think that this skill will help us in

achieving greater integration especially in the Asian region since some Asian countries

have weak English skills and that is one of Filipinos strength when it comes to global

integration.

The economy of the Philippines, as we can see, are getting strong every year

since especially the past year. This is because Philippines have high rate of production.

And also, there have been a decline of inflation which means that the country’s

economy is steadily growing as well as maintaining stability. Declining inflation will help

us contribute to globalization especially in Asian part of the world. Even more, the

Philippines’ improved market conditions and sustained growth helped Philippines in

becoming strong in terms of economy.

 Also, having strong economy means the markets are highly concentrated and

there is a limit in market competition. The lack of competition in key sectors helped us

in growing our economy as well as contributing to greater globalization. Moreover,

communication is always key when integrating a country with globalization. Having

good communication allows the country to prove themselves more and become globally

competitive.

Philippines have always been good at communication especially English. This

have been proven for a very long time which helps the country in stabilizing the market

since many of our products and raw materials comes from other countries. This is our

advantage in other countries in the Asian region since not all of the countries here in

Asia has good communication skills especially those who really love their language and

English not being their second language and not taught in their school.
