COOKING VEGETABLES

Potato gratin:
1/peeled,sliced 5large potatoes
2/season w salt, pepper,nutmeg
3/rub a large pot w garlic clove &covered potatoes w milk,grated cheese
4/cooked for 45 minutes in oven at 400*(until milk evaporated and potatoes become tender)
TO MAXIMIZE THE USE OF THE OVEN AND SAVE ENERGY I also baked sweet potatoes that we enjoyed
the following meal...

6/placed them in the oven at the same time as the gratin
7/served them hot split in 1/2 ,salt-pepper and sour cream and spring onion
WHILE KEEPING AN EYE ON THE OVEN AND ENJOYING A GLASS OF WINE...I cooked red cabbage..
Pic8/ sliced thinly red cabbage and seasoned w salt-pepper,cumin,coriander
9/added a peeled-sliced pear & a bit of sherry vinegar.Mixed well
10/cooked (medium eat)w 1/2cup of water until tender(+-30 minutes) ENJOY
