GENERATOR PRINCIPLES

1. SEPERATELY EXCITED

1. PMG is secondary residual magnetism to provide stable and reliable electric energy to AVR
2. Stator exciter has a residual magnetism once the rotor/shaft rotate
3. AC output generated to the exciter rotor coil, output will pass through bridge type rectifier and
converted to DC and given to the main rotor.
4. The moving main rotor creates DC magnetizing current to produce AC current to the stationary
main stator coil this is the final output of main stator
5. AVR is controlling the Exciter current of stator exciter , AVR senses that the output is low it
increase the stator exciter magnetic field similarly if the output is high it decreases the stator
exciter current.
2. SELF EXCITED

6. Stator exciter has a residual magnetism once the rotor/shaft rotate

7. AC output generated to the exciter rotor coil, output will pass through bridge type rectifier and
converted to DC and given to the main rotor.
8. The moving main rotor creates DC magnetizing current to produce AC current to the stationary
main stator coil this is the final output of main stator
9. AVR is controlling the Exciter current of stator exciter , AVR senses that the output is low it
increase the stator exciter magnetic field similarly if the output is high it decreases the stator
exciter current.
