Tom works at a bank. He is the manager. He starts work every day at 8:00 am. He finishes
work every day at 6:00 pm. He lives very close to the bank. He walks to work every day.
His brother and sister also work at the bank. But, they do not live close to the bank. They
drive cars to work. They start work at 9:00 am. In the bank, Tom is the boss. He helps all
the workers and tells them what to do. He likes his job. He is also very good at his job.
Many customers like Tom, and they say hello to him when they come to the bank. Tom
likes to talk to the customers and make them feel happy. Tom really likes his job.

I´m Tim Black. I am a doctor. I work at a hospital. My wife, Kim, is a teacher. She teaches
music at a college. We get up at seven o´clock every morning.

Kim sets the table and we have breakfast. Kim likes toast and tea, but I don’t. I eat and egg
and I drink milk at breakfast. Then we leave home at a quarter past eight.

I start to work at nine o’clock. I am very busy, so I can´t have a break. At half past twelve I
have lunch at the hospital cafeteria.

The food at the cafeteria is very good, so I don´t go out for lunch. Kim returns home at
three o´clock in the afternoon, and I come back at five o´clock. Afterwards, we have dinner
at half past six. I watch TV in the evenings, but Kim doesn´t. she reads a book or she listens
to music.

We go to bed early after a tiring day.

At weekends we go to the cinema or theatre. My wife and I like shopping, so we usually go

on shopping on Saturdays.

Tim works for a company in Sacramento. He's a customer service representative. He gets
up at 6 o'clock a.m. each workday. He drives to work and begins his job at 8 o'clock each
morning.

During the workday, Tim speaks to people on the telephone to help them with their
banking problems. People telephone the bank to ask questions about their accounts. Tim
doesn't give information about accounts until callers answer a few questions. Tim asks
callers their birth date, the last four digits of their Social Security number, and their
address. If a person gives incorrect information, Tim asks him to call back with the correct
information.

Tim is polite and friendly to everyone. He has lunch in a park next to his office. He returns
home at 5 o'clock in the evening. After work, he goes to the gym to work out. Tim has
dinner at 7 o'clock. Tim likes watching TV after dinner. He goes to bed at 11 o'clock at
night.

Most people don’t like bugs, but Doctor Mark Moffet loves them! In fact, his nickname is
Doctor Bugs. He’s a photographer and an entomologist. An entomologist studies bugs.
Doctor Moffett’s favorite bug is the ant. He goes all over the world to study ants. He
watches them as they eat, work, rest, sleep, and fight. He takes photographs of the ants.
He lies on the ground with his camera and waits for the right moment. The ants and other
bugs often bite him, but that doesn’t stop Doctor Bugs. He has an interesting and unusual
job, and he loves it!

Sara is chef, she’s short and pretty. She works in a restaurant. She cooks for people.

Every day she gets up at seven o’clock in the morning. She takes a shower and put her
clothes on. She doesn’t eat breakfast, she drinks coffee with milk. At 8:00 o´clock she
drives to the market.

At the market, she buys lots of food. She buys fruit, vegetables and meat. Then she goes
to the restaurant. She cooks lunch from twelve o’clock to three o´clock then she takes a
break. At five o´clock, she starts to cook dinner. She cooks pasta, pizza and steak for lots of
people.

She finishes work at nine o’clock, she´s very tired. She drives home and takes a shower.
She plays computer games for an hour and then she goes to bed.
