PRESENTATION, ANALYSES, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the in-depth interviews conducted with the

respondent. A board description and presentation of significant themes are

presented entirely to depict the effects of parenting styles towards the academic

performance of the senior high school students.

Profile of the Respondents

Table 2 presents the personal background of the respondents.

Table 2 displayed the profile of the respondents and it shows that there are

12 or 21.82 percent of the respondents aged 16, there are 21 or 38.18 percent who

aged 17, there are 17 or 30.91 percent who aged 18, there are 2 or 3.64 percent who

aged 19, and there are 3 or 5.45 percent who aged 20 years old and above.

Parenting Styles used by Parents

Table 3 shows the different parenting that is used by the parents to their

children.

This table indicates the parenting styles that are used by the parents to their

parents. Majority of the senior high school students uses authoritative and

authoritarian parenting styles while there are 17 senior high school students

describe their parents as an authoritarian and some students illustrated that their

parents are not involved to their life, especially to their studies.
