PRACTICLE IPC QUESTIONS

1. ‘R’ saw that ‘A’ a pillion rider on U’s motor dropped his purse while ‘U’
negotiated with a speed breaker. ‘R’ took the purse with the intention of
restoring it to ‘A’. However, on reaching home ‘R’ was told by his wife that it
was their wedding anniversary on that day and he should buy her a new
Saree and a Mangal Sutra, ‘R’ spent the whole money contained in the purse
of ‘A’ for purchasing Saree and Mangal Sutra for his wife, telling her that on
receipt of his salary on the first of the following month he will restore ‘A’s
purse and money to him. ‘R’ did so what offence if any has been committed
by ‘R’?
2. On 28.04.2013 the accused ‘A’ expressed his desire to the Prosecutrix that he
wanted to meet her and accordingly, prosecutrix boarded a train to meet him.
Prosecutrix was familiar with ‘A’ since 2009 and ‘A’ had even proposed her
earlier for marriage. They met in the house of ‘A’ situated at Malkhaorda,
where they stayed from 2 pm of 29.04.2013 to 3 pm 30.04.2013. During this
period the accused established physical relation with her on pretext of
marrying her. On 30.04.2013 the accused asked the Prosecutrix to leave by
saying that tomorrow he will talk to his parents about their marriage. He also
asked the Prosecutrix not to tell about the incident to anyone. From 2.5.13 to
5.5.13 Prosecutrix kept on asking from the accused about the marriage but
received no response therefrom. Thereafter accused refused to marry the
Prosecutrix and performed marriage with another girl. On 21.06.2013 the FIR
was registered against the accused Under Section 376 IPC whereby the case
was committed to Session Court. Decide the culpability of the accused.
3. On 21st July 1995 Som Raj (deceased) went upstairs of his house. Soon
thereafter his neighbouring residents A1, A2, A3 and A4 armed with deadly
weapons came from the upstairs dragging Som Raj and beating him with the
weapons alleging that he had thrown stones into their house. The complainant
(brother of deceased) and mother of deceased keep requesting the accused
to not to beat the deceased but accused did not pay any heed took away Som
Raj to the flour mill of one Tara Singh and tore off his clothes.
In the commotion, Som Raj managed to escape from their clutches and ran
into the house of Bansi Lai in nude form itself and bolted from inside. The
accused again caught hold of Som Raj and gave severe beatings to him and
bought near the bus stop of the village. A5 appeared there in SPO uniform
and repeatedly gave kick blows to Som Raj and also pressed his neck till he
became unconscious. Thereafter, all the accused lifted Som Raj and thrown
him in front of his house and fled away. What offence, if any, has been
committed by the accused persons?
