How do you feel after reading the story?

After reading the story, I feel pity for the Monsieur and Madame Loisel, because of Madame
Loisel desire to be the prettiest and look wealthy in front of other people in a party. She had brought
trouble to herself and her husband. The necklace that she lent from her friend has been stolen and
this mistake has made the Loisel couple to suffer all ten years long. This story has shown me and
made me feel that if we living our life just by following our desire and not to be grateful with the
things we have, we will never be satisfied. One day, because of our desire we will bring trouble upon
ourselves and also people around us. In the end, the moral of the story is we should not live by
following our desire because people tend to make mistake when living their life by following their
desire.

QUESTION 2
Write the ending of the story.

The ending of the story is, after ten years of misery, it is unnecessary and could have been
avoided if only Madame Loisel had been honest with Madame Forestier. Losing the necklace had
seemed to be Madame Loisel’s fatal mistake, but it was actually Madame Loisel’s failure to be
truthful with Madame Forestier that sealed her fate.

Who is your favourite character and why do you like the character?

My favourite character is Monsieur Loisel. The reason I like him is because he is a caring
husband. As an example, Monsieur Loisel willing to use his saving money which he save to buy a gun
to buy a nice dress for his wife so she is willing to go to a party with him with a nice dress. Also, he is
a patient person. When his wife lost her friend neckless, he did not scold her for being careless.
Instead he asking his wife carefully and spend his effort to find the necklace together.
