You are a member of the Board of Directors of an Adventure Centre.

Your Managing Director wants to

change the way the Centre organizes its publicity, and has asked you to write a proposal suggesting ways
in which the publicity could be improved. Write your proposal in 220-260 words.

Introduction
The aim of this proposal is to suggest ways of promoting the Adventure Centre to increase bookings, and
make recommendations for action. It is based on information gathered from customer feedback who
participated in our online survey.

Feedback
The Centre is generally popular with those who come, but there is a problem with publicity. Some said
that they no heard of the Centre until a friend told them, and others complained that they could not find
the website. Furthermore, five percent of the people affirmed that they could find our location only by
using an online map and that there are no road signs to the Centre.

Suggestions and recommendations

In order to approach the problems identified in the feedback and to increase bookings, we recommend
that the following measures should be taken.

To address the problem of publicity:

 Journalists should be invited to special Open Days with a view to describing our facilities in local
or national newspapers. In this way, not only the popularity of the Centre will increase, but also
there will be reviews of the Centre which can convince readers, the future potential customers,
to visit the place.
 A specialist should be hired to redesign the website in order to make it more accessible and thus
offer the clients the option to book tickets online. Also, the online platform should be faster and
more secure for online transactions and the environment should be user-friendly, so that people
can find straightforwardly the information needed.

To attract more bookings:

 Introduce a series of special offers, including prices in the low seasons and special packages for
school parties, so as to organize different competitions or events depending on seasons or
holidays. Moreover, the Centre should offer special outfits for children in order to protect them
from potential dangerous outcomes while using the equipment and there should be a special
zone for experimented customers, with challenging tasks and prizes.

Conclusion
Implementing the measures mentioned above should lead to the general increase in awareness of the
Centre and a subsequent increase in bookings. Therefore, if the Centre is to improve, we urge that the
Directors should put them in place immediately.
