જય સ્વામિનારાયણ, મહારાજના વ્હાલા ભક્તોજનો,

સ્વામિનારાયણ સંપ્રદાયમાં શાકોત્સવ એ ખુબ જ મહત્વનો પ્રસંગ છે . જે પહે લીવાર ગુજરાતના લોયા
ગામમાં ઉજવાયો હતો. ભક્તરાજ સુરાખાચરની પ્રાર્થનાના ફળસ્વરૂપે ઉત્સવ પ્રિય એવા ભગવાન શ્રી
સ્વામિનારાયણે કારતક વદ - 10 મી ના દિવસે ગુજરાતના લોયા ગામ પધારી 60 મણ રીંગણ અને 12 મણ
ઘીના વઘાર સાથે શાક બનાવી સૌને અદ્દભુત સ્વાદની અનુભત
ુ ી કરાવી હતી. ત્યારથી આ શાકોત્સવનો
મહાપ્રસંગ દર વર્ષે ઉજવાય છે . આ અલૌકિક પ્રસંગમાં સહભાગી થવા આપને સૌ સ્નેહી જનો તથા
મિત્રમંડળ સહીત પધારી ઉત્સવનો આં નદ ં અને મહાપ્રસાદ લેવા ભાવભર્યું આમંત્રણ છે .

Jay Swaminarayan,
Shakotsav is a very special event in the Swaminarayan sect. It was celebrated
for the first time in the village of Loya (Gujarat), Lord Swaminarayan showered
with divine bliss through this Shakotsav celebration. During this event, eggplant
curry is prepared by Santo, and offered to the God with Bajara Bread (Rotalo).
Shakotsav is celebrated every year since then.

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Atlanta heartily invites you with your family and
friends to celebrate the Shakotsav and enjoy the delicious prasad of curry and
rotala served for dinner.
