4) The Maximum Noise level allowed inside the plant should be 75 dB during

day time and 70 dB at night time - Environment (Protection) Rules,1986The
maximum allowable noise level is 90 dB for a continuous 8 hour period - Model Rules of the
Factories Act,1948.

5) S p e e d l i m i t f o r t h e v e h i c l e s i n s i d e t h e p l a n t s h o u l d n o t e x c e e d 1 0
miles per hour (16 Kmph)

6) T h e m i n i m u m L u x l e v e l ( I l l u m i n a t i o n l e v e l ) t o b e p r e s e n t o n t h e s h o p
floor should be 200 - 300 Lux

7) T h e   m i n i m u m h e i g h t f o r w e a r i n g   t h e   h a r n e s s ( S a f e t y   b e l t )   s h o u l d   b e
4 ft

8) All lifting tools and tackles, slings & Safety belts should be inspected by a

competent person once in every six months

9) M a t e r i a l h a n d l i n g e q u i p m e n t s s u c h a s F o r k l i f t s a n d C l a m p t r u c k s t o
be inspected once in a year 

10) All hoists, Lifts and overhead cranes should be inspected by

a competent person once in every six months

11) The maximum safe load shall be plainly marked on every lift & hoist and no load
grater than that shall be carried

12) All Pressure vessels and air compressors to be certified

annually by competent person

13) All vessels shall be hydraulically tested by a competent person at a pressure
marked on the vessel at intervals of not more than 5 years.

14) Structural stability for buildings to be certified by an external party once in

every five years.
