HIV (Human Immunidefiency Virus) is the virus that causes AIDS.

HIV causes AIDS


and interferes with the body’s ability to fight infection. HIV can get from contact with
infected blood, semen, or vaginal fluids. Most people get the virus by having unprocteted sex
with the someone who has HIV. Another common way of getting it is by sharing drug
needles with someone who is infected with HIV. Woman can get it to their babies during
pregnancy or childbirth.

Within a 4-5 weeks of HIV infection, such symptoms as flu, fever,fatigue,weight loss,
and sore throat can happen during this weeks. Many of ths severe symptoms and ilnesses of
HIV diseases come from the oppurtunistic infections that occur because her body’s immune
system has been damaged. See your health care provider if you are experiencing any of these
symptoms.
