General Advisory:
Farmers may complete sowing of different crops during favourable weather condition. They must adopt
ridge and furrow method for sowing of different crops except rice to conserve rain water in furrow, to
check soil erosion and rotting of the plant in the event of excess rain. Maintain bunds of rice field to
collect rain water and channels in the field of already sown crops / vegetables for optimum drainage.
Seed treatment of different pulses is recommended by P.S.B @ 200gram per 10 kilogram of seeds or
rhizobium culture @ 200gram per 10 kilogram of seeds or Carbendazim @ 2 gram per kilogram seed
before sowing.
कसान भाई मौसम अनुकूल होने पर तुरंत व भ फसल क बोवाई का काय जल से ज संप कर। कसान भाई धान के
फसल को छोड़कर अ सभी फसल क बोवाई मेढ़ बनाकर ही करे , जसमे मेढ़ के बीच बनी ना लयो म वषा जल का संचयन हो
सके तथा अ धक वषा क थ म भी पौधा जल जमाव के कारण गले नह साथ ही साथ खेत के म ी का रण भी कम से
कम हो। जन खेतो म धान का रोपा करना हो, वैसे खेतो के मेढ़ को दु रखे तथा व भ स ओ एवं फसल के खेतो म जल

RICE For direct seeding of rice, select recommended varieties like Birsa Vikas Dhan 110 &
111, Vandana, Lalat, Sahbhagi, IR-64 (DRT-1) etc. To keep the field weed free, spray
weedicide Pretilachlor @ 4 ml per litre of water after 2–3 days of sowing.

धान क सीधी बोवाई के लए कम से कम समय म तैयार होने वाले क ो जैसे बरसा वकास धान-110,
बरसा वकास धान-111, वंदना, ललाट, सहभोगी, आई.आर.-64 (डी.आर.टी.-1 ) इ ा द म कसी एक
क का चुनाव करे। फसल म खर पतवार नयं त रखने के लए बोवाई के 2 से 3 दन बाद खर पतवार
नाशी दवा ेटीला ोर का छड़काव 4 मलीमीटर त लीटर पानी क दर से कर।
Recommended varieties of Arhar (Pigeon pea) are Birsa Arhar-1, I.P.A. -203, Upas
PIGEON PEA and Bahar. 8 kg of seeds are needed for the cultivation in one acre.

Recommended varieties of Urd are Birsa Urad-1, W.B.U.-109, Pant U-31.12 kg of
seeds are required for the cultivation in one acre.
BLACK GRAM उरद क उ त क बरसा उरद -1, ड ू.यू.-109, पंत यू. -31 आ द म से कसी एक क का चुनाव
कर| एक एकड़ म खेती करने के लए 8 कलो ाम बीज क आव कता होती है|
Recommended varieties of Madua are A.-404, Birsa Marua-2, Birsa Marua -3,
G.P.U.-28, G.P.U.-67, V.L.-149 etc. 3.5 - 4.0 kg of seeds are required for the
cultivation in one acre.
FINGER
MILLET मडआ क उ त क ए.-404, बरसा मडआ-2, बरसा मडआ-3, जी.पी.यू. -28, जी.पी.यू. -67,
भी.एल.-149 आ द म से कसी एक का चुनाव कर| एक एकड़ म खेती करने के लए 3.5 से 4 कलो ाम
बीज क आव कता होती है|
Recommended varieties of Groundnut are Birsa Bold, Girnar-3, Birsa groundnut-3
and Birsa groundnut -4. 50 kg grains (seeds) of Birsa Bold variety and 30-35 kg
grains (seeds) of rest varieties are needed for the cultivation in one acre.
GROUNDNUT मूंगफली क उ त क गरनार-3, बरसा मूंगफली -3, बरसा मूंगफली-4, बरसा बो आ द म से
कसी एक क का चुनाव करे| एक एकड़ म खेती करने के लए बरसा गो क के लए 50
कलो ाम दाना (बीज) तथा अ क के लए 30 से 35 कलो ाम बीज क आव कता होती है|
Medium duration variety of the crops like P.M.H.-3, Malviya sankar makka,
B.A.U.M.H-3, Suwan composite- 1, H.Q.P.M-1, Vinay etc. may be sown for green
cobs and short duration varieties like Birsa maize-1, Birsa vikas maize-2, Priya,
BAUMH-05, Vivek sankar makka etc. for grain purpose. After 2 – 3 days of sowing,
spray weedicide Utraziner @ 4 gm per litre of water.

At this time there are chances of foot and mouth diseases in cattle. To protect the
cattle from this disease animals are to be vaccinated with vaccine (Foot and
mouth disease+Haemorrhagic septicaemia+Black quarter oil adjuvanted vaccine)
@ 3 ml per animal for cattle and 1 ml per animal for goat and swine.

On the basis of irregular rainfall during last few years, farmers may prefer
cultivation of crops in upland having less duration and least water requirement
like Arhar, Urd (Blackgram), Marua (Finger millet), Jowar (Bajra), etc.
Farmers who wish to cultivate Rice, Maize or Groundnut in upland must adopt
inter - cropping. Such type of cropping system reduces loss in the events of
erratic or abnormal rainfall. However, in case of favourable condition (normal
rainfall) it enhances the yield and increases cropping intensity also. The
recommended inter cropping of this region is as follows: Arhar +
Groundnut/Rice/Urd :Between the 2 rows of Arhar (75 cm between row & 20-
25 cm between plant) 2 rows of Groundnut/Rice/Urd. Arhar + Maize :1 row
Arhar and 1 row Maize (75 cm between row & 20-25 cm between plant). In
medium land along with groundnut, maize and soybean rice crop may be sown
directly with medium or early varieties.
GENERAL ADVICE ऊपरी खेतो म वषा क अ नय मतता को देखते ए कम से कम अव ध एवं कम पानी क
आव कता वाली फसल जैसे - अरहर, उरद, सोयाबीन, मडआ, गुंदली, ार आ द क खेती को
ाथ मकता द। जो कसान ऊपरी खेत म धान, मकई या मूंगफली क खेती करना चाहते है, वे
अंतरवत य खेती कर क अ नय मत वषा क थ म य द एक फसल मारी जाती है तो दूसरी
फसल से कु छ न कु छ उपज मल जाती है और अनुकूल वषा होने पर दोन ही फसल क अ ी
उपज मल जाती है साथ ही साथ खेती क सघनता भी बढ़ जाती है। इस े के लए अंतरवत य
खेती न है: अरहर+मूंगफली/धान/उरद; दो पं अरहर (75 सटीमीटर पं से पं तथा 20 से
25 सटीमीटर पौधा से पौधा क दुरी पर) के बीच दो पं मूंगफली या धान या उरद क बोवाई
कर। अरहर+मकई: एक पं अरहर तथा एक पं मकई (75 सटीमीटर पं से पं तथा
20 से 25 सटीमीटर पौधा क दुरी पर) क बोवाई कर। म म जमीन म धान, मकई, मूंगफली या
सोयाबीन क बोवाई कम या म म अव ध वाली जा त के साथ कर।
Famers may proceed for raising of rice seedlings. Rice seedlings must be raised
phase wise (3-4 phase) at the interval of 3-4 days, so that suitable seedlings
may be available at the time of transplanting. 16 to 18 kg seeds and 10 dicmil
area of nursery bed is required for transplanting in 1 acre of land. In nursery
bed, 100 kg compost, 2.5 kg Urea, 6 kg of S.S.P and 1.5 kg Muriate of potash
may be mixed in the soil @100 sq. meter. Select long duration variety for Don-
1 field and medium duration variety for Don-2 field.
PADDY कसान धान का बचड़ा तैयार करने के लए बीज को बीज ली (नसरी) म 3-4 दन के अंतराल
TRANSPLANTING पर मशः 3-4 क म बीज बोएं जससे रोपा अव ध के दौरान उपयु बचड़ा उपल हो
पाए| एक एकड़ म रोपा के लए 16 से 18 कलो ाम बीज तथा 10 डस मल जमीन (बीज ली)
क आव कता होती है| बीज ली म 100 कलो ाम क ो , 2.5 कलो ाम यू रया, 6
कलो ाम सगल सुपर फॉ े ट तथा 1.5 कलो ाम ुरीएट ऑफ़ पोटाश त 100 वग मीटर क
दर से म ी म अ ी तरह मला द| नचली जमीन म रोपा के ल ी अव ध वाले क का चुनाव
दोन-1 खेत के लए तथा म म अव ध वाले क का चुनाव दोन-2 खेत के लए कर|
