HINDALCO INDUSTRIES LIMITED

Hindalco Industries Limited, the metals flagship company of the


Aditya Birla Group, is an industry leader in aluminium and copper.

A metals powerhouse with a consolidated turnover of over


Rs. 60,000 crore(US $ 13 billion). Hindalco is the world’s largest
aluminium rolling company and one of the biggest producers of
Primary aluminium in Asia. Its Copper smelter is the world’s
largest custom smelter at a single location.

Established in 1958, Hindalco commissioned its aluminium facility


at Renukut in Eastern U.P. in 1962. Later acquisitions and mergers
with Indal, Birla Copper and the Nifty and Mt. Gordon copper
mines in Australia, strengthened the company’s position in value-
added alumina, aluminium and copper products, with vertical
integration through access to captive copper concentrates.

alumina and aluminium facilities combined with high-end rolling

Product application and Market development, Key Account
Management and Excellence in customer service are some of the
focus areas for Flat Rolled Products(FRP) Business. For FRP
business, manufacturing facilities are being upgraded in line with
the changing market needs.

In India, the FRP capacities are being added from current 230KTPA
by FY15 to cater to fast growing demand from emerging
applications.

I (Atul Kumar) have done the study of Selling process of the rolled
Product of Aluminium for the Hindalco company under the
guidelines of the Territory Manager Mr. Pratik Jha. In Between of the
Project I have make visits to CLIMATE, ZECO, METRO, PERFECT
Companies where my mentor (Mr. Pratik Jha) strategically solves the
problem of those company with his skills. I have also learned the
tactics and the strategy which come around a industrial selling
Process and which is very much necessary for any one of the person
involve in a selling process.
A marketing manager needs to make regular visits to his client list i.e,
the concerned industries as they may have various issues and it will
be very much beneficial for both of them i.e, Buyer as well as Seller
for the future professional relationship.
