1 Purpose

In this document you find a description of how to create organizational structure for your TM in S/4 HANA
system. The description includes those data segments that are relevant for the master data to work in a "usual"
system environment. The reader mainly learns which data segments and fields usually need to be filled with
input values. Fields that are not relevant for the scope of the S/4 HANA content delivery by SAP Best Practices
are not described in this document although they may appear on the UI.

2.1 System Access

System Details

System Accessible via SAP Fiori Launchpad. Assign standard


role SAP_BR_TRANSPORTATION_MANAGER to your user, to
be able to do the neccessary settings described in this guide.

3.1 Create Organizational Structure

3.1.1 Defining the Company

Context

Create the company (organization) master data record for your organizational structure using the SAP Fiori
launchpad.

Procedure

1. On SAP ECC Menu, choose the following:

Organization and Staffing Create . (or enter the transaction code: PPOCE)

A popup window opens


2. On the popup window that appears, enter validity dates for the organization.

A new window opens, showing the Organization and Staffing Create screen.
3. On the Basic Data tab, enter the values shown in the following table:

4. On the Org. Data tab, choose the Create pushbutton and enter the values shown in the following table:

3.1.2 Defining the Purchasing Organization

Context

Create the purchasing organization master data record for your organizational structure using the SAP Fiori
launchpad.

Procedure

1. On SAP ECC Menu, choose the following:

Organization and Staffing Create . (or enter the transaction code:PPOCE)

A popup window opens


2. In the Master Data - Organization section, choose the Create Organization and Staffing tile (transaction
PPOCE).
3. On the popup window that appears, enter validity dates for the organization.

A new window opens, showing the Organization and Staffing Create screen.
4. On the Basic Data tab, enter the values shown in the following table:

Context

Create the purchasing group master data record for your organizational structure using the SAP Fiori
launchpad.

1. On SAP ECC Menu, choose the following:

3.1.4 Defining the Planning and Execution Organization

Context

Create the planning and execution organization master data record for your organizational structure using the
SAP Fiori launchpad.

Procedure

1. On SAP ECC Menu, choose the following:

Organization and Staffing Create (or enter the transaction code: PPOCE).

A popup window opens


2. On the popup window that appears, enter validity dates for the organization.

A new window opens, showing the Organization and Staffing Create screen.

The planning and execution organization is created.

3.1.5 Defining the Company Structure

Context

Define the company (organization) structure master data record for your organizational structure using the
SAP Fiori launchpad.

Procedure

1. On SAP ECC Menu, choose the following:

Organization and Staffing Create (or enter the transaction code: PPOME).

Organization and Staffing Change window opens.


2. Search for the company you previously created (CCP_US_171) and open it in edit mode.
3. Select Company CCP_US_171 and press Assign.
4. Select Is line supervisor of and assign Purchasing Organization PO_US_1710 and Planning and Execution
Organization PE_US_1710 that you previously created.

The assignment is made.


5. Select Purchasing Organization PO_US_1710 and press Assign.
6. Select Is line supervisor of and assign Purchasing Group PG_US_1710 that you previously created.

The assignment is made.


7. Save your entries.

The company structure is created.

3.1.6 Assign Users to the Organizational Structure

Context

Assign users to the organizational structure using the SAP Fiori launchpad.

Procedure

1. On SAP ECC Menu, choose the following:

Organization and Staffing Create (or enter the transaction code: PPOME).
Organization and Staffing Change window opens.
2. Search for the company you previously created (CCP_US_171) and open it in edit mode.
3. Select Planning and Execution Organization US PE_US_1710 and press Create.
4. Select Position and enter the values shown in the following table:

Description General description Transportation Planner Palo Alto

5. Save your entries.

A new position is created.


6. Select the position you just created and press Assign.
7. Select User and enter a user name for the role SAP_BR_Transportation_Planner you just assigned.
8. Save your entries.

The user is assigned to the position.


9. Select the Purchasing Organization US 1710 ” PO_US_1710 and press Create.
10. Select Position and enter following data:

12. Select the created Position and press Assign.
