Reciprocal Leveling in Surveying Lab

This document provides instructions for a surveying lab exercise to determine the difference in elevation between two points on opposite sides of an imaginary ravine or wide river using a leveling instrument. The procedure involves setting up the instrument at two stations near each point and taking backsight and foresight readings to compute the difference in elevation between the two points. The mean of the differences from the two setups is taken as the true difference in elevation.
