OBJECTIVES -

A. GENERAL OBJECTIVES – At the end of the teaching the group will be able to enhance their knowledge
regarding organization and management of NICU. And that will help them to practice skill in the clinical settings
while dealing with organization and management of NICU

B. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES – At the end of teaching the group will be able to –

1. Define neonatal intensive care unit.

2. Explain the goal of NICU.

3. Enlists levels of neonatal care .

4. Enumerate criteria for admission in NICU.

5. Explain organization of NICU.

6. Enumerate services provided in NICU.

7. Explain role of nurse in NICU.

SUMMARY –
Today we have discussed on epidemiological model of disease causation. This model demanded a broader concept of disease causation including
factor of agent, host and environment. There are two types of epidemiological triad – The traditional triangle of epidemiology and Advanced
model of triangle of epidemiology.
