Bintang Timur Junior High School

I study in Bintang Timur Junior High School. Bintang Timur is the best junior
high school in Pematangsiantar. It’s located on Laguboti street, Pematangsiantar. My
school is a green and organized school. There are flowers on several spots in the field
and on the balcony in front of the classes. There are also some trees in the field.

Students take turn to water the flowers and trees everyday. When the flowers
are blooming, it add the beauty of the school. If there is a guest visiting our school,
he or she will definitely love our school environment.

There are 27 classes provided for the students. Every classes have complete
attribute. Such as projector, whiteboard, etc. Every classes have the Cross that
remind us to pray every time we want to start and end school activities. It’s become
the proof why Bintang Timur is a school with a good Catholic values.

The 7th grade classes are on the first floor. Some of the 8th grade classes are on
the third floor and the remainders are on the second floor. And the 9th grade classes
are on the second floor. There is also a science lab for the students to study about
science. A music room, band room, and even a computer lab. Everything is well
organized.

The principal’s office is on the right side of the school. When guests visit the
school, they will first come to the principal’s office. We also have Library. Students
can find references for their tasks or lessons that they don’t really understand in the
library. Students also can just read comics, novels, and other books during break
time.

There are enough bathrooms in this school. Bathrooms for boys and girls.
Everyday, the students take turn to clean the bathrooms. Also, we have the guests
bathroom and the teachers bathroom. Students are not allowed to get in to the guests
and teachers bathroom. The teachers and principal always remind us to keep our
bathrooms clean.

If students feel hungry or want to have some snacks during break, they can go
to the canteen in the school. The canteen is clean and cozy. The workers in the
canteen serve us many kind of food for breakfast, lunch, and some desserts or
snacks. Sometimes, teachers also eat there.

 Beside the canteen, we have basketball court, which also used as futsal court.
Student sometimes have sport lessons there. It is also used for some match, like
futsal match. We also have multipurpose building, which is used for many activities,
like sports match, scout training, parents meeting, etc.

In the middle of the school we have a huge field which is used for students
and teachers to gather for some events, like flag ceremony, morning devotion and
other activities.

That’s all about my school. I’m so proud be a part of Bintang Timur Junior
High School.
