GEOGRAPHIC EXPANSION

Tony Tan Caktiong, founder of Jollibee fast food chain, utilizes the Jollibee brand as the face of the
company , but engages in strategy of acquiring popular foreign chains in order to grow the company
internationally, as opposed to prioritising the expansion of Jollibee brand into new markets.

Jollibee’s global presence is centered on the US, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, regions with large
population of Filipinos.

JOINT VENTURE

Cargill Joy Poultry Meats Production Inc. (C-Joy), a joint venture between Cargill and Jollobee
Foods Corp. (JFC) has opened the country’s largest poultry processing plant that would boost income
opportunities of farmers from Batangas.

DIVESTITURE

Jollibee Food Corp. (JFC) is divesting itself of 55% equity holdings in Guangxi San Pin Wang Food
and Beverage Management Co. Ltd., setting its sight on its greater business interest in China. JFC’s
divestment of its shareholding in San Pin Wang is part of its intention to concentrate its resources on
business with greater potential.
