Introduction
The gearbox is necessary of the transmission system to maintain engine speed
(or torque) at the most economical value enter all conditions of vehicle
movement.

An ideal gearbox would provide an infinities range of gear ratios, so that the
engine speed should be kept at or near that the maximum power is developed
whatever the speed of the vehicle.
Aim and Objective
The main aim is to analysis the gearbox 0f Toyota Publica KP-39

The objective are:

To analyze the performance procedures of Toyota Publica gearbox system.

To identify the parts and the function of the gearbox.

To understand basic service and repair of a gearbox.

To design of whole gearbox.

An I.C engine generating power is not sufficient to move the vehicle , therefore
gear box is use increase speed of vehicle.
Gearbox is used to obtained the various fixed torque ratio according to
requirement.
It also help to reverse the vehicle since in engine can run in one direction.
A high torque is require to run the vehicle from during climbing a hill which
required high engine speed.
Keep the vehicle in natural position , without stopping the engine.
