Dear Client

Voluntary Suspension of Trading

It is with regret that African Alliance Botswana Securities Limited (“the company”) hereby informs
you that, with effect from 22 May 2020, it requested, and was granted, the suspension of its
broker/dealer license with the Botswana Stock Exchange. This drastic action was necessitated
through the weak economic conditions which have prevailed over the last 12 or so months, and which
has been exacerbated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and its negative impact on liquidity and
trading volumes.

Accordingly, the company has decided to close all client brokerage accounts and hereby notifies you
of the termination of the Standard Terms of Business in terms of paragraph 21.1 of the Agreement of
Mandate. The termination shall not affect any outstanding orders or transactions or legal rights or
obligations, which may already have arisen in terms of this Agreement of Mandate prior to
termination date.

We draw to your attention that we may not initiate any transaction in any Investments on your behalf
subsequent to the date of suspension.

In terms of paragraph 9.3 of the Agreement of Mandate, we shall pay any cash into your bank account
as stipulated in the “Particulars Schedule”, subject to any right of set off or lien we may have.

In addition, we advise all investors / clients who have active shareholding to approach one of the
below brokers to open a trading account. The broker of your choice will initiate the share transfer
with the Botswana Stock Exchange.
