department in N.R.S medical hospital.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report is on basis of my training in N.R.S medical college and
hospital from 18th june 2015 to 18th july 2015 in the storage department.
I focused on hospital’s storage department. At first I have discussed. At
first I have discussed about the basic knowledge about store and scope
of doing this project. Then I have discussed about the store and scope of
this doing this project. Then I have discussed about hospital’s profile,
review of literature, methodology of this project. Then I have discuss
about my observance on the hospital, like : location of storage
department in this hospital, layout of this storage area, function of
storage, workflow & staffing pattern of this hospital storage department.
During this project, the methods used by the hospital to measure levels
of customer satisfaction have been noted. Appropiate steps used to
handle critical problem have also been observed. An overview of the
work flow in the department has also been studied.
The methodology of these studies included personal observation, patient
surveys through structured questionnaires and direct and indirect
interaction with patient and their guardians. Primary data used has been
collected through structured questionnaires administered to a sample of
80 people who had been randomly selected as per research convenience.
Then I have discussed about the pateint satisfaction on different services
in hospital which is known as data analysis. Then I wrote down the
problem which I have seen in hospital and their recommendation or
suggestion. Then I wrote the conclusion of my project. At last have
discussed about the references which will help me for complete of my
project.

ANATOMY

 Room: Tissue section slide ,Histology lab, Dissection table,


x-ray, organ chart, seminar room, preparation room.
 FORMALIN: Formalin is injected through the artery to dry
up the blood.
 An instrument was available there to cut and break bones.
 Microtome was used to cut tissue.
ENQUIRY
 Some particular test are free, For some patients whose
monthly income is below 2000 and for those who bring
panchayat.

 Firstly the patient writes a letter to the doctor.The letter with


the doctors permission is forwarded to the masters office.
Then the ward master gives a permission card filled by him
to the patient party which is to be kept with them.

LINEN STORE

 The hospital store is divided into two broad categories:-


 CONSUMABLE STORES: used only once
 NON CONSUMABLE STORES: used again and
again
 LINEN STORE: it includes textiles, synthetic fabric
and woollen articles and furnishings.
Kitchen
The diet and kitchen feature in the Hospital assists the hospital
kitchen staff to provide meals to inpatients as per the
instructions of the dietician and physician. The dietician works
with the physician to define the diet for the patient. This module
allows for ordering and scheduling of meals, changing the orders
as per dietician's instructions. There are many kind of diet chart
available in NRS Hospital such as,

Morgue
A morgue or mortuary (in a hospital or elsewhere) is used for
the storage of human corpses awaiting identification or removal
for autopsy or disposal by burial, cremation or other method. In
modern times corpses have customarily been refrigerated to
delay decomposition. The example of Registration book of

CARDIOLOGY NEUROLOGY ORTHO GYNAE
PROCESS:-Based on the demand of medicine and equipment’s the
government hospital call tender for supplying these goods. National as
well as international companies are allowed to participate in the tender
process. Based on this process, the company providing the medicine of
optimum quality at the lowest price is selected.
Since the process of calling for tender is a lengthy process, to cater to the
equipments for a limited time(say 45 days) the
CMS ( central medicine store) provides medicine and equipments.
