ISANG KATHANG-ISIP NA LIHAM NI ANDRES BONIFACIO kay GREGORIA DE JESUS:
Mahal kong Oryang,
Sapagkat saan man tayo dalhin ng
Andres

Blessed, Honorable Saints

June 5, 2019  ·
10 THINGS CATHOLICS ARE TIRED OF HEARING
1. “Catholics worship statues.”
This stereotype is painful to hear. Not only is this completely false, but it is ludicrous. Despite the fact that there are 801 millions
Protestants world-wide, according to the Pew Research Center, my rant will be geared towards our brothers and sisters in the
United States. In this country, approximately 51.5% of people are Protestant Christians. Realistically, most of these families have
pictures in their home, which is completely normal, right? Right. They have pictures of their loved ones, both living and
deceased. Is it not hypocritical then to say that Catholics are idol worshipers, when these families have portraits of their loved
ones on the walls? If these Protestant families can have pictures of Uncle Bernie and Mawmaw hanging on the wall, then most
certainly the Church can present pictures of our beloved Jesus, his disciples, and the saints.
2. “Catholics pray to Mary instead of God.”
This is a very common misconception throughout the Protestant community, and while I can understand why it is, I am also
disheartened that many jump to such a harsh conclusion of the Catholic faith. We don’t pray to Mary, we ask her to pray for us,
just as a Protestant asks their deceased grandparent/parent to watch over them.
3. “The saints can’t hear your prayers, because they are dead.”
I beg to differ. Since when is anyone who is in Heaven considered dead? We call it the afterLIFE for a reason. In fact, there is
biblical proof that the saints can hear our prays:
-Revelation 5:8 “And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each
one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.”
-Revelation 8:3-4 “Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer,
with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the
prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.”
4. “Mother Mary isn’t important; she’s just like anyone else.”
If our Blessed Mother isn’t important, then every female would have had an immaculate conception. For this reason, that is why
the declarative statement above doesn’t make sense. Of course Mother Mary is important, she gave birth to our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. What is so amazing about the Catholic faith is the fact that we recognize the importance of Mary, and we honor her
accordingly. She is a role model and saint for all Christians to look up to, because she submitted to God completely. Until the day
another woman gives birth to Jesus, no one will ever be just like Mary. She is a very special, holy woman.
5. “Catholics made up all their rules.”
Every single tradition we have in the Catholic Church, namely during Mass, has biblical roots. Not to mention the fact that Jesus
was the founder of our Church. I don’t know about you, but Jesus doesn’t make mistakes.
6. “God said to confess sins to Him, not a priest.”
This one is a personal favorite of mine. Drum roll please.
-James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective
prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”
It is true that we pray directly to God, and ask Him to forgiveness, however for sins (mortal) we do as Jesus commands and
confess it to one another (our priests). Jesus said this directly to his disciples, so through Him, they were able to forgive sins. This
power passed down to every priest, and so on and so forth. That felt good.
7. “Catholicism is a cult.”
Jesus Christ founded this Church more than 2,000 years ago, I would hardly call it a cult.
8. “Catholics aren’t Christians.”
The word Christian is associated with anyone who follows Christ’s teachings, and since the Catholic Church does just that then
we are to be called Christians. Not to mention Catholics were actually the first Christians.
9. “Catholics added books to the Holy Bible.”
This one is so hilarious it hurts. For 300 years there was no Bible, only random writings from the prophets like St.Peter etc, until
the Catholic monks compiled and canonized what is now known today as the Holy Bible. (That is until the Protestant
Reformation occurred, in which one man *Martin Luther* removed 7 books). Ouch.
10. “Catholics believe you can pay your way into Heaven.”
We definitely do not. That is a huge misconception which occurred during the Protestant Reformation.
Despite the many stereotypes that hang over our faith, the important thing to remember is our Church has stood the test of time
and remained for more than 2,000 years. Whether you are Catholic or Protestant– we are all followers of Christ, and He is the
ultimate goal.
“The truth is like a lion. You don’t have to defend it, let it loose, and it will defend itself.”

Daming nagtatanong paano kami nagkakilala, nahihiya ako magkwento kasi ako nag first move.
Babala: mahaba.
tapos sabi mo "excuse me po".
Sakto, may kaklase kaming shifter from engineering.
Agad kitang in-
Tapos sabi mo "Bakit?" NAINIS
AKO. Sabi ko "Kung ayaw mo edi wag". Hahahahaha qiqil ako. Tapos sabi mo "Hindi maaccept, dami mo na kasing friends."
At agad agad akong nag unfriend ng isa. Nagpathank you pa ko nun pero seen nalang. Kaya parang, ah okay.
Naaalala ko first meeting natin, naglakad tayo mula tsu
you. Oo ako ulit nag first move, pero nag I love you too ka agad agad at MU na tayo.
Ayaw ko na walang label for 4 years (1st year college palang kami nun), so sabi
After 2-
Nag
rereview date lagi tayo sa OSA or library. As in hindi natin pinabayaan pag-aaral natin.
bakit meron akong kagaya mo? I love youuuu, proud ako sayo.
From "Hello po Kuya" to "Hello babe"
From "Hahanapin kita sa Smith Hall" to "Hintayin na kita umuwi"
From "Ayaw ko magpakita" to "Kita tayo mamaya, miss na kita"
From "Magrereview muna ako maraming quiz bukas" to "Magrereview muna para sa board exam."
From "Liligawan kita" to "Ikaw pakakasalan ko"
From "Sinasagot na kita" to "I do" sa future, if will ni Lord.
Maraming salamat TSU! Dahil sayo nagtagpo kami.

*Trigger warning... sort of.

Upon death, in 50 years, you’ll barely be remembered by the people who personally knew you. In a hundred years, if you’re
lucky, you’ll be a story passed on to your great grand children. In thousand years, you never even seem to have existed because
all those who have known you are now dead (unless you’ll be written in history books). In a million years, humanity might have
already gone into extinction only living behind remnants of the past. In a billion years, who knows, maybe the Sun has already
swallowed up the Earth living no trace that it - our home - ever once existed. Okay, let’s say we, the human species, might have
not gone into extinction in a million years, and we have successfully traversed, conquered, and settled into other galaxies but still,
in a trillion years, the Universe will reach its end - compress and collapse into the nothingness it once was.

What then is the meaning of the things we do if we are just a speck in this great cosmic timeline? All the wars, all the things we
fought for. All the bloodsheds would mean nothing. All of our achievements, all of our possessions, all of that we have strived for
are meaningless in the face of the grandiosity of the Universe. Let’s face it, everything that we do are just meaningless
distractions from the impending oblivion. Everything will end, everything will be forgotten so what is the point of doing anything
anyway? I wish I knew, most times though, I wish I never about any of this.

The impending doom of the universe, the void that awaits all of time and space is probably the most terrifying thing there is for a
conscious, egocentric, and meaning seeking species such as the human race to realize. For all our lives we have been thinking
that the Universe was made for us, that everything we do is a part of a greater divine purpose. That we are gears in the clockwork
of the grand scheme of things. Only to realize, that there is actually no point in everything. The void is what awaits us all. I know,
it’s hard to take in. You might not agree with it but I don’t care (nothing matters anyway). But for those who have been able to
come to this similar realization, what keeps you going? What pushes you forward to keep on living knowing that nothing matters
anyway? For me, I don’t know. Sometimes I say to myself, be happy, do what you want it won’t matter, but at least you were
able to have fun. Don’t mind your mistakes, no one would remember it anyway. Just do what you want in life. You are the
Universe experiencing itself. Make it count. But then again, what’s the point?

This knowledge of the oblivion is both a dreadful realization and a comforting idea. It’s shitty, I know. That’s why most people
cling to the worship of higher beings, cause it brings them comfort. It strips them of the oblivion by offering life after death -
hope. It feeds their idea that they are special, by stating that the Universe was made for them, that everything they do matters. So
what’s my point? I don’t know, maybe I’m just rambling, nothing matters anyway... so what’s the point?

Dear Fellow HR Practitioners,

I suggest, if you’re new to the practice it’s better for you to read a lot. Help yourself and educate especially on mandatory
benefits, processes and other related matters.

Employment Standards, you can read our HR Bible - Labor Code of the Philippines. Labor code will help you on the standards of
employment. It will also guide you on payroll, employee termination, basic employment status and other things.

Mandatory Benefits, we have SSS, PHIC and HDMF websites, ALL their benefits and processes are in their own respective
websites.

Recruitment, you can browse google on recruitment strategies, process, exams and other things about recruitment.

Training and Development, you can also browse to google about the practice.

If you’re new to HR I guess those are the BASICS that you need to learn and understand.

Don’t confuse yourself too much on the practice. It’s better for us to learn based on the standards and not based on what we’ve
heard.

Just my suggestions to new HR Practitiners. Google is so intelligent and helpful as always. Try to use it same as how you use
your Facebook. If you will ask HR practitioners they will help you and give immediate action points however it may confuse you
more if you don’t understand the basics. Understand the basics first and ask.

Thank you! Happy Learning...

MONEY
Adopting this powerful
mindset will help you
become wealthy and
successful

Adopt an exponential mindset to
help you become more wealthy
and successful
When you start thinking about what makes a successful company or person,
the word “growth” should be up there on your list.

The type of growth most people picture and aim for looks a little bit like this: a
straight, incremental line showing slow and steady achievement. While there’s
nothing wrong with that, mega-successful companies and people, such as
Facebook and Oprah Winfrey, operate according to an exponential mindset to
achieve even greater success.

So, what’s the exponential mindset?

Rather than thinking in terms of incremental growth, the ultra-successful aim
for “hockey stick” growth – or increasingly bigger achievements at a faster
rate. As Harvard Business Review put it, “The incremental mindset focuses on
making something better, while the exponential mindset is makes something
different. Incremental is satisfied with 10 percent. Exponential is out for 10X.”

Whether it’s personal development or starting a business, this is the type of

positive mindset and goal-setting you’ll want to emulate to take it to the next
level. Here are five steps to using this mindset to increase your wealth and
success:
1:15

Entrepreneurs reveal the top lessons from their time

at Google

Set “reach” goals

We’re often brighter and more talented than we give ourselves credit for. In
fact, we discredit ourselves so often that it’s become a legitimate
psychological problem called Impostor Syndrome.

The reason many only achieve incremental growth is because they set their
own sights too low and don’t realize what they’re capable of. That’s why I
have myself and my team at LexION Capital set “reach” goals. As the name
suggests, we aim for radical improvement that seems just a little bit out of
reach.

As Grant Cardone puts it, “You cannot get to the next phase of a project
without a grander mind-set, more acceleration, and extra horsepower.” For
instance, rather than aiming to start a popular blog, set a goal for 100,000
readers in the next 3 months. What you believe is what you can achieve, and
that all starts with setting a higher standard for yourself. Even if you don’t
reach 100 percent of your goal, you’ll be surprised at the results.

Recognize that failure is part of the equation

“Failure is so important. We speak about success all the time. It is the ability
to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. I’ve met
people who don’t want to try for fear of failing.” —J.K. Rowling

Although this mindset deals with exponential growth, it doesn’t mean that
those who adopt it avoid slip-ups. In fact, it’s the exact opposite. While the
exponential mindset seems like a breeding ground for perceived failure, it
really is just that the growth is happening at a faster and faster pace.
Google wouldn’t have changed the internet as we know it without some
failures along the way, and you won’t achieve success without doing the
same.

Top Google exec shares his secret to a good night’s

sleep

Step outside your comfort zone

As IBM CEO Gini Rommety put it, “Growth and comfort do not coexist.”

If Apple didn’t “think different,” it would probably still be a two-man operation

running out of a garage. The same holds true for any person that’s afraid to
challenge the status quo, no matter how brilliant they are.

The trick with the exponential mindset is to think of creating change, rather
than just improvement. Improvement comes next to inspiration, and inspiration
is the vehicle for change. When you take the initiative and take on an
exponential mindset, the returns may seem unremarkable at first, but over
time they will outperform the results you used to see.

Be patient
“Never reduce a target. Instead, increase actions. When you start rethinking
your targets, making up excuses, and letting yourself off the hook, you are
giving up on your dreams!” — Grant Cardone

The initial moment of fear that accompanies this mindset comes when at first
you don’t see a lot of change. As with any exponential chart, the first part of
the building phase looks a bit skimpy. Only later do we see a real bend and
greater returns.

Whether it’s through investing or with fitness, many people get impatient when
they feel as if they aren’t seeing immediate returns or progress. They then
jump back to their normal goals. This is where patience is your greatest virtue.
1:27

Marcus Lemonis: Better to be a big fish in a small

pond

Make exponential decisions

Taking full advantage of this mindset requires you to think in terms of
exponential growth rather than short-term gains or pleasure. For instance, you
could spend your paycheck on some luxury clothes, or invest it and watch it
grow through compound interest.

For starters, consider using a decision stream to see if your choice will have
10x growth down the line or just a temporary impact.

The bottom line

Whether you’re looking to make a personal or professional change, the
exponential mindset prepares you to face the necessary ambitious moments
that arise. Start by thinking differently when faced with a task. Don’t just start
with the first natural, comfortable decision that comes to mind. Try re-thinking
your process and reaching higher.

You’ll be amazed at your eventual growth and success.
