This training includes the below operations for the UPS.
Below are the steps. 1. Normal operation to Maintenance Bypass 2. Maintenance Bypass to Normal Operation UPS Operation: Step 1. (Normal operation to Maintenance Bypass) 1. Insure there are no alarms present 2. Press and hold the gray inverter off button until the UPS alarms, during this time the inverter will turn off and load will shift to static bypass 3. Verify the load has shifted by checking the alarms on the display The Critical Load is now on Internal Static Bypass 4. Rotate the SR1 rotary bypass switch from ‘Normal’ to ‘Transfer’ 5. Open QF1 Battery breaker(s) 6. Rotate the SR1 rotary bypass switch from ‘Transfer’ to ‘Bypass’ (the logic will power down) The Critical Load is now on the SR1 rotary bypass switch UPS Operation: Step 2. (Maintenance Bypass to Normal Operation) 1. Rotate the SR1 rotary bypass switch from ‘Bypass’ to ‘Transfer’ 2. During logic power up the power contactors will close and the power section will start (the Rectifier and Inverter will run but the Critical Load is still on the SR1 rotary bypass switch) 3. Close QF1 Battery breaker(s) 4. The display should indicate ‘Load Protected, Power Supply OK’ 5. Press and hold the gray inverter off button until the UPS alarms, during this time the inverter will turn off and load will shift to static bypass 6. Verify the load has shifted by checking the alarms on the display 7. Rotate the SR1 rotary bypass switch from ‘Transfer’ to ‘Normal’ 8. Momentarily press the Green Inverter On button, the Inverter will start and the system transfer the load to the Inverter The Critical Load is now protected by the UPS Inverter
