Q1)      According to the author, what is the effect upon him of entering a bank to
business?
According to the author, he had not a good experience of attempting to do any sort of business in
the bank. Whenever he enters the bank and tries to do any business so he becomes an
irresponsible fool. He gets frightened with all the things and the atmosphere of the bank and
starts to behave like a stupid people.

Q 2)    Why did the author decide to open an account?


The author, Stephen Leacock, decided to open an account just because of the increment in his
salary. His salary has been raised to fifty dollars and had been to fifty-six dollars from six
dollars. He wanted to keep his savings to the secure place so he thought to keep in the bank
because the bank would be the safest place to keep one’s money.

Q 3)    What was the manager’s reaction when the author told him that he would like
to see him alone?
When the author, Stephen Leacock, told the manager to talk with him alone, the manager got
worried and thought that he was a detective of any company and came here to share some
secretive information about the bank robbery and some other crime which is about to be
happening in the bank.

When the manager knew the exact purpose of the author's visit he looked relieved because there
was nothing to be worried, the author just came to open an account in the bank and wanted to
keep that private. There was nothing that the manager assumed by his gestures.

The author, Stephen Leacock was scared to do any business in a bank and when he entered the
bank for opening an account due to increment in his salary so he was much confused and afraid
from everything. He also didn’t know the correct procedure so he made some stupid mistakes
and when he wanted to draw six dollars for current use so he wrote fifty-six dollars instead of six
dollars because of his nervousness and confusion.

The clerk asked the question to the author as a tradition to ask at the time of withdrawal of cash
from the bank that in which form the amount would be preferred to take either in form of coin or
note.

The author, Stephen Leacock was not aware of the banking system and was much scared to do
any sort of business in bank but he had to go bank for opening an account because of increment
in his salary so he made a lot of stupid mistakes from start and his foolish way the attention of all
the clerks and when he left the bank so they all laughed loudly at his stupidity.

The author, Stephen Leacock had not any good experience of opening an account in a bank. He
scared to attempt any sort of business in the bank but he had to go because of his increment in his
salary. When he entered the bank so he got frightened with everything of the bank but he made
an effort and reached to the manager and asked him to open an account scarcely. At last, when
his account had been opened so he wanted to draw some amount for use so in writing a cheque
he wrote all of the amounts but suddenly he realized that he made a mistake. He did not admit
but made a decision to draw his entire amount and rushed out from a bank.

Yes, it is wiser to keep the money in the bank than to hoard it in the home because of the several
reasons. One of the most important and considerable reason is to protect them from the robber
because to keep money in the home to give simply the temptation to the robbers and thieves and
the other reason is to prevent us to spread harshly.

Q10)    What mistakes that the author made in the story "My Bank Account"?
The author made some irrelevant mistakes throughout the procedure of opening an account in the
bank because of his some persistence fear from the bank. First mistake that he did that he wished
to see the manager alone and that his attitude produced some mystery that he was a detective of
any agency and had terrible secret to tell and second mistake he did when he had gone through
all of the procedures and at last decided to withdraw six dollars for present use but he wrote
whole amount form which he opened an account.

The experience of the author was just exactly as he expected because ‘of his persistence fear
from the bank. He knew that he had bank phobia and he always gets frightened and lost his
confidence whenever he entered into the bank to attempt any business but he had to go because
of an increment in his salary but he did some irrelevant mistakes and blunders which hindered
him to continue with the bank' account.
