STRATEGY PAPER- RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Each team shall submit a Strategy Paper for both the sides.
2. Contents of the Strategy Paper
2.1. Cover Page
2.1.1. The Allocated team code (intimated via e-mail) only on the right hand upper
corner of the cover page. No other page should contain the team code.
2.1.2. Name of parties and their status
2.1.3. Strategy Paper on Behalf of _________
2.2. Goals and Objectives of the Negotiation
2.3. Strengths and Weaknesses of both the parties
2.4. Interests of the Party
2.5. Conflicting Interests of the Other Party
2.6. Viable and Conciliatory Options
2.7. Best Alternative to the Negotiated Agreement (BATNA)
2.8. Worst Alternative to the Negotiated Agreement (WATNA)
3. The Strategy Papers shall not contain any identification apart from the team code allotted.
If any discrepancy or any attempt to disclose identity by any team or individual participant
is noticed by the organizers, the registration of the participant shall be cancelled.
4. The Strategy Paper shall not exceed 6 pages (including the Cover Page)
5. Formatting Specifications
5.1. Font Type: Times New Roman
5.2. Font Size: 12
5.3. Line Spacing: 1.5
5.4. Margins: 1 inch on each side.
5.5. There shall be NO Footnotes in the Strategy Paper
6. Deadline for Submission
6.1. The soft copy of the Strategy Paper must be submitted in PDF format (named as:
“*team code*- *name of the party*) to tnnlsiumcc2017@gmail.com by 22th October,
2017, 11:59 PM, with the subject “*team code* Strategy Paper”.
6.2. Two hard copies shall be submitted to the MCC by 25th October, 2017, 05:00 PM.

6.3. Failure to submit the Strategy Papers on time shall result in reduction of 1 mark per
hour for each side of the Strategy Paper. Submissions after 24 hours from the deadline
shall not be accepted.
7. The Strategy Papers shall be evaluated in the following manner:
