@ GLOCAL ROOTS PROJECT COORDINATOR, WE ARE ONE CENTER (WOMEN ONLY) Samos, Greece Glocal Roots is a small, non-profit-organisation with projects in Switzerland and Greece. Glocal Roots develops projects with the aim of increasing and strengthening the resilience and independence of displaced people. We are looking for a new project coordinator for the We Are One Center on Samos. Project Overview: ‘The We Are One Centers a safe space and community center for refugee women and their infants on the island of Samos, Greece The We Are One Center offers vanous activites workshops and aistibutons towomen aged 15+ years, and their infants ‘agod 3 years old and under. Through the use of educational and Psycho Social Suppor [PSS} activites we aim torebuld female refugees’ confidence, and establish community networks and suppor systems. Ultimately, we ai to support women inliving a self-determined and empowered life. The centers visited by approxmately 300 wornen and 180 infants everyday. Responsibilities: + Lead planning. implementation, and monitoring of all activites in ‘+ Responsible for the smooth running of daly operations + Manage a team of approximately 15 volunteers (both volunteers from the refuges commun ty and extemal volunteers) + Recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers- Faciltate weekly team meetings- Monthly reporting & mantoring reports ‘ordination with project partners fr activities and referrals to madical psychological and legal aid- Reoresent Glocal Roots intelevant coordination meatings + General adminstrative suppor ‘cordance with budgets and work plans Person Specification: + Female, at least 25 years old + Language fluent n verbal and waten English Other languages such as German, Greek French Avabic or Farsi are desired, butnot necessary knowledge & Experience ‘+ Passionate about refugee topics ‘= Able towork ina challenging and dynamic work environment ‘Project coordination/management experience ‘+ Work expentence in a refuges contex Skills & Abilities + Flexble,inutive, and proactive approach to work + Strong verbal and wirtten communication sks, as well ast groups + Team player + Strong problem-solving and planning skis, ourceful and strategie thinking + Multeaaskor who porforms well undor prossuro + Diiving license (manual bilty to comple and present reports fora varity of target What We Offer + Staring date: as soon as possible ‘+ Bmonth contract extension possible (1 month probation period) ‘© Monthly stipend and accomadation ‘+ The chance to work as pant of a motivated, international, female team ‘+ Gteal development opportunities and responsibly ina challenging context ‘+ Team management experience ‘+ Practical experience in acrsis context Application Process: Interested candidates are asked to send a CV and cover letter to liska@glocalroots.ch.
