SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 The purpose of this contract is to inspect and check the internal condition and
equipment integrity. Visual and NDT tests shall be conducted to collect inspection
data and to confirm the integrity and to help in predicting equipment future life.
 The inspectors shall be able to judge, evaluate and make a decision for any
integrity deficiencies, repair, upgrade and correction actions need to be carried out
to restore these equipment's to the original and acceptable integrity. This shall be
evaluation and recommended by the inspector.
 All inspection manpower's are expected and shall be of the capability to visually
inspect, evaluate and recommend suitable repair as per applicable industrial
Standards and codes. The Inspectors' functions during the T&I work shall include
the following:
 Perform inspections on assigned equipment & piping, reviewing operations and
maintenance logbooks, checking and inspecting on-going maintenance work.
 Report daily findings, observations, tests, recommendations and repair activities
to Refinery-Inspection unit utilizing applicable Saudi Aramco reporting systems.
 Internally and externally inspect various types of equipment such as columns,
drums, vessels, heat exchangers, furnaces, flares, tanks, piping and pipe
components, and issue repair procedure & recommendations.
 Review the On-Stream inspection (OSI) thickness readings of assigned
plant/equipment and piping, and issue recommendations as required.
 Detail report for each equipment or activities shall be submitted to YR inspection
detailing all findings, observations, repairs, evaluations and recommendations.
 Recommend for future improvement of the equipment.
 Each inspector shall record in daily all of his findings, observations and
 Each inspector shall issue detail repair procedure for any repair to be carried on the
equipment. 5.2.3.9 Each inspector shall recommend as part of his duties, the suitable
and applicable NOT tests (UT, IV7PI, PT, RT...) to be performed on each equipment
under his scope.
 Each inspector shall review & evaluate each NOT report and to be part of the
final post T&I report.
 Each inspector shall issue a comprehensive final post T&I reports for all
equipment inspected and assigned to him.
 Each inspector shall submit the final equipment post T&I report immediately after
the box up. 5.2.3.13 No time sheet will be signed if the inspector fail to submit the
daily findings, observation, recommendations, repair procedure, hydro test reports
and post T&I reports.
 Each inspector is responsible to follow up and close all the recommendations and
NDT tests for the assigned equipment.
 Each inspector is responsible to submit professional and technical post T&I
inspection reports.
API 510 & 570 Certified Plant & Equipment Inspector Mechanical : Thirty Four (34)
Qualification & Experience:
 Other than specified nationality, the minimum requirements for
qualification and experience in inspection & evaluation integrity of in
service plant & equipment for refineries and/or petrochemical industries is as
following.
 15 years' field work experience in refinery/petrochemical industries as
mechanical inspectors for in service plant equipment.
 Each mechanical plant & equipment inspector must have as a minimum of
valid API 510, API 570 and AWS/CWI or CSWIP certifications.
 Each inspector shall demonstrate knowledge in American Society of
Mechanical Engineers (ASME) codes such as Section VIII, V, IX pressure
vessel and (ASME) B31.3 for process piping.
 Inspecting & evaluation the integrity of all types of in service Plant &
Equipment refineries and/or petrochemical industries.
 Each individual shall be able to independently inspect, evaluate, prepare
and write technical inspection reports/repair procedure and recommend repair
of mechanical/refractory work.
 Each inspector shall be deeply knowledgeable qualified in visual
inspection, evaluation and assessment of welds and weld joints
 CWI, CSWIP or API 577 certificate is recommended.
 Each inspector shall be deeply familiar and experience with the API
standards implementation & application such as API 510, API 570, API 572,
API 574, API 577, API 936 CWI, and API 571
 Each Inspector must be in good physical condition with no medical
problems and must be able to climb and work at elevated heights and work in
confined spaces.
 Each inspector shall have acceptable visual and eye condition.
API 936 Refractory Certified Plant & Equipment Inspector Civil: Four (04)
Qualification & Experience:
 Other than specified nationality, the minimum requirements for
qualification and experience in inspection & evaluation integrity of in service
plant & equipment for refineries and/or petrochemical industries is as
following.
 15 years' field work experience in refinery/petrochemical industries as civil
inspectors for in service plant equipment.
 Each civil plant & equipment inspector must have as a minimum of valid API
936.
 Each individual shall be able to independently inspect, evaluate, prepare and
write technical inspection reports/repair procedure and recommend repair of
civil /refractory work.
 Each inspector shall be deeply knowledgeable qualified in visual inspection,
evaluation and assessment of refractory and heaters.
 Each inspector shall be deeply familiar and experience with the API standards
implementation & application
 Each inspector must be qualified to work independently in inspecting,
assessing & evaluating the condition of refinery plant equipment 6.2.1.2.1.7
Inspecting & evaluation the integrity of all types of in service Plant &
Equipment refineries and/or petrochemical industries.
 Each Inspector must be in good physical condition with no medical
problems and must be able to climb and work at elevated heights and work in
confined spaces
 Each inspector shall have acceptable visual and eye condition.
