Constructive Merciless Criticism: Trump’s Approach to George Floyd Protests

To begin, I want to say that this article is simply the opinions of my own and how I view the
situation - it should be taken with a grain of salt.
I have heard of the death of George Floyd all over social media and how the police officers did
not handle the situation well. I have heard that people have started to protest and express their concern for
the racist acts of police officers. I have heard that Donald Trump, the president of the United States, has
taken “shelter in the White House” while “America cries out for leadership”.
In the time of a global pandemic, we should not have to “cry out” for leadership, and God forbid,
for African Americans to die in the hands to officers who took an oath to uphold the law. There are
already enough things killing this world and COVID-19 has swooped in quite nicely along with the
Australian wildfires and climate change earlier this year, we don’t need more! The recent death of Floyd
has sparked quite a protest from people all around the world - it might even end up as big as Hong Kong’s
protests!
It is just too ironic that the police would do this. I don’t know what goes on in police academies
but they sure didn’t teach some police to be good leaders or simply people who abide by the law (ironic!!
I know!). The president of the United States has even gone to hide because he couldn't take it. What he
really shouldn’t take is the crap that some police do. People really don’t deserve to die like that.
