A Poetic Change: First of a Decade

The calm before the storm,

Ignorance prevails.

All on the click of a button,

“Pause…”
Ice doesn’t melt,
Trees don’t burn.

America and Iran are friends.

Royals are with Regina.
Ukranian flights are not seen as a threat.

Conversations going nowhere,

But about healthcare.

Then,
“Play…”
The next great depression,

Racism sparks,
Impurities,
Pain lingers.

Grace is to come,
For it is to be found.
