sentence answers. You are not graded on grammar; you will be graded on
development.

1. The Smithbuilt.net forest contains users from 3 countries. The Asia location
has a T1 connection to the U.S. location which has an 80% usage. The
Australia location also has a T1 link to the U.S. that has a 45% usage. The
Mexico location has a fractional T1 (512k) connection with a 15% usage.
Smithbuilt.net does not want Mexico to authenticate over the fractional T1
link. What replication topology would meet Smithbuilt.net requirement
and why?
2. Peterbuilt was looking to have a merger with Smithbuilt. Peterbuilt has a
Unix-based computer in the branch that runs a HR application. Smithbuilt
runs their HR application on SQL Server 2008. They both will take care of
their own HR department, however Smithbuilt wants to have payroll
centralized. This authentication process seems to be quite complicated.
What plan can be made to simplify authentication or migrate the system?
3. Smithbuilt is looking at adding branch offices in Canada and Italy. Both
offices will have around 200. The sales force uses an application that must
access AD. The CEO is concerned that the servers in the remote location
may be unsecure. He also request that a more secure authentication be
placed at both sites. What must be done to assure that sites are secure
and that the information on the servers cannot be compromised?
4. The Smithbuilt plans to implement NAP using IPsec enforcement at the
main office and is currently in the test phase of an IPsec enforcement
deployment. Server isolation has been proposed for high-value servers at
the main office. All corporate officers along with a smaller, exclusive group
of users spread across the enterprise will have access to these servers. As
the enterprise administrator must complete the NAP IPsec deployment at
the main office and evaluate NAP enforcement at the branch offices.
Clients at the branch offices access servers at the main office. Several users
at two of the branch offices access one of the database clusters that have
been deemed a high-value server. How would you apply an IPsec NAP
solution at these offices?
5. Sun & Burn.com just hired you as the enterprise administrator. Before you
started the last admin upgrade the AD DS to 2008. You were approached
by the CEO with a new security policy that requires that the use of USB
drives for storage be stopped. Then questioned if this would cause a
problem with the client workstations that are using the ready boost
feature. What would you do to make the CEO request happen? Will
ready boost still be available and how?
