Why is it important for me

to do my MA at George Washington University?

There are many reasons that show how it’s important for me to study at George
Washington university. First of all, I would like to write about myself and my educational
background. I am a Mongolian, who was born as the youngest member of my family. I have
two older sisters and an older brother. My siblings are all married and live in Mongolia. My
mother raised us alone and now she is an amazing grandmother to nine beautiful
grandchildren. I live apart from my family in Turkey. I have accomplished my bachelor
degree as an English Teacher in Turkey. I have always been passionate about learning new
things and share it with others. I studied in Turkey with special funds and scholarships.
During my 4 academic years of university, I managed to go and study in Poland with
Erasmus programme for 4 months.

Currently, I am working as an English Teacher in Gaziantep, Turkey. It’s my second

official year as an employee. During this time, I understood that I need to improve myself
even much more in order to reach more people and make changes in their lives. I think I will
be successful to my Master of Arts in Education and Human Development. I will go back to
Mongolia eventually, but I want to fulfil myself with the best possible knowledge of all time.
I am social, independent, friendly and curious about learning. I believe that studying at
George Washington University will also help me to meet great people and share cultural and
academical experiences with each other.

Managing to continue my study at George Washington University will also bring great
chances for me to develop myself and then others. As a citizen of a developing country, I
believe that health and education are most important areas in every country. I am glad and
thankful every day that I became a teacher, which is one of the most difficult yet the most
amazing professions in the world. In Mongolia, being a teacher is like the least interesting
and trendy profession of all time. Even though, I realised that I could become much more
successful as an academician to make people realise how it’s important to educate ourselves
and our future generations in the best way possible. I strongly believe that educating children
academically and socially is one of my duties as a citizen of Mongolia. Even when my time is
over, it will be the next educator’s duty. Therefore, this process will make it easier for people
to reach better living conditions and develop their country. Nobody stops learning, especially

in this science and technology developing years. After I finish my MA, I am planning to gain
work experience again for 2 years and I will do my doctoral and PhD degrees. I have always
been dreaming and working to become an academician. I hope that I will reach my goals and
do a career in my field beneficially to others.

To sum up, there are many great opportunities for me to catch when I earn the chance
to do my MA in Education and Human Development at George Washington University. I am
passionate about learning and sharing what I know with others. I am a teacher who wants to
change lives with big dreams and goals. I definitely believe in myself that I can do all the
responsibility and keep the trust that will be given to me. All of above are the reasons, why
you should accept me and If you give me the chance, I am ready to be the change in my
community.
