EXTENDING AND MODIFYING AN EXECUTIVE ORDER DECLARING A DISASTER EMERGENCY

No. 2020S0E-18

WHEREAS, by Executive Order issued on March 12, 2020, pursuant to Section 24 of the Article 2-B of the
Executive Law of the State of New York, a disaster emergency in the Town of Riverhead was declared and
said Executive Order has been continued and modified; and
WHEREAS, the current Executive Order 2020SOE-17 will now end at midnight on June 5, 2020;

WHEREAS, the confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus continue to rise in the Town of Riverhead and remain a

serious threat to health, welfare and safety of the residents and visitors of the Town of Riverhead; and
WHEREAS, the State of New York has continued and modified Executive Order No. 202 dated March 7, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Yvette M. Aguiar, Supervisor of the Town of Riverhead, pursuant to Section 24 of the

Article 2-B of the Executive Law of the State of New York, do hereby further extend and modify the Declaration
of a State of Emergency in the Town of Riverhead; and
FURTHER, pursuant to Section 24 of Article 2-B of the New York State Executive Law, I direct that the
Declaration of a State of Emergency continue as amended, together with the following directives:
1) That vital services of the Town of Riverhead shall continue, including those provided by the police
department, sewer district, water district and sanitation department and the Police Department shall
continue to be open to the public;
2) That Emergency Operations shall continue;
3) That the following Town buildings and facilities shall be open to the public on a limited basis through
June 14, 2020:
e Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead,
ePlanning & Building Departments, 201 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, and
eRecreation Department at Stotzky Park, Columbus Avenue, Riverhead limited to walk up
service only.
4) That the following Town buildings and facilities shall remain closed to the public through June 14,
2020:
e Highway Department, 1177 Osborn Avenue, Riverhead,
e Municipal Garage, Old Country Road, Riverhead,
e Riverhead Water District, 1035 Pulaski Street, Riverhead,
e Riverhead Sewer District, River Avenue, Riverhead, and
e Town Hall West, 1295 Pulaski Street, Riverhead.
5) That all meetings remain cancelled through June 14, 2020, with exception of the following:
e Agricultural Advisory Committee scheduled for June 8, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.,
e Business Advisory scheduled for June 9, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.,
e Town Board Work Session scheduled for June 11, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., and
e Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting scheduled for June 11, 2020, at 6:30 p.m.
6) That the following Town park facilities shall remain closed through June 14, 2020:
Baseball/softball fields,
Basketball courts,
Bathrooms,
Bocce courts,
Concessions,
Soccer fields,
Handball courts,
Hockey rink,
Pickleball courts,
Playgrounds,
Shuffleboard courts, and
Skatepark.
7) That the following Town park facilities remain open subject to face coverings for each individual
over two years of age and safe distancing rules through June 14, 2020:
e Beach Parking Lots and designated beach permit only parking areas. Vehicles with a
2019 or 2020 beach parking permit will be allowed to park at beach parking lots and at
designated beach permit only locations,
Beaches,
Dog parks,
Recreation Trail at EPCAL, and
Open Space/park areas, including those at Ammann Park, Bayberry Park, Grangebel
Park, John Lombardi Park, Miamogue Point Park, the Sound Avenue Nature Preserve
and Stotzky Park.
8) That all other terms and conditions of Executive Order 2020SOE-17 shall continue.

This order shall take effect at 12:01am, June 6, 2020
