a) Retention fund

Clause 30.5 The employer may retain the percentage of total value of work, materials and goods
as stated in the appendix. If none stated 10% of the value work executed and materials on site
and subjects to the limit of retention fund of 5% of contract sum.

b) Nominated sub-contractor
The subcontractor appointed by S.O to execute a certain work mainly for specialist work such as
installation of lift, fire safety, air conditioning and electrical. Clause 60.1 The S.O shall obtain
tenders for Nominated Sub-Contractor’s or Nominated Suppliers work or services or for the
supply of materials or goods in respect of which Prime Cost Sums or Provisional Sums are
included in the Bills of Quantities, and the contractor shall on the written instruction of the S.O.

c) Performance Bond
Clause 13.1 Stated that the contractor shall submit the bond on the possession of site. The
amount of PB is 5% from contract sum. Must be valid until 12 months of the DLP. Clause 13.2
Stated that the contractors have the option whether to use performance bond in the term of
performance guarantee sum.

d) Contract Document
The contract documents are to be read as mutually explanatory of one another. Clause 3.1 In
the event of any conflict or inconsistencies between any of the contract document, the priority
in the interpretation of such documents shall be in the following descending order.
