Q. 3 Consider an analog signal xa (t )  cos 2000 t  10sin10000 t  20 cos 5000 t

i. Determine the Nyquist rate for xa(t).

ii. If the analog signal xa (t ) is sampled at a sampling rate 5000 samples/sec. Write
its discrete time signal x[n], and its discrete frequencies.

Q.4 Determine the DFT of the given data sequence x[n]  {2, 1, 4, 6, 5, 8, 3, 9} using Decimation-
in-time (DIT) Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Draw the reduced butterfly structure.

Q.5 Design a low pass discrete-time filter by applying impulse invariance to an appropriate
Butterworth continuous time filter. The specifications for the discrete-time filter are:

0.89125  H ( )  1, 0    0.2
H ( )  0.17783, 0.3    
