TIME LINE
It was raining intermittently today , however all the planned underwater jobs
continued. Hull painting was done in morning-noon , when weather was sunny , and
painting was stopped atleast 2 hrs prior the expected showers basis hourly weather
reports.

WEATHER FORECAST
DELAYS:
Port control denied permission to shipyard to commence any work onboard our
vessel on 030719, and 04/07/19 as present vessel in Dock is Not under command and
hence requires 2 Pilots. However, pilots schedule got delayed through the day and
subsequently cancelled towards evening on 030719. Pilots boarded vessel on 040719
Noon and took vessel to dock.
Once vessel was in dock on 040719, yard team resumed work. Vessel staff carrying
out maintenance jobs as per planned schedule.

1. Hull condition:
a) Bulbous bow and Fwd P&S around 30 Mtrs from Fwd and upto 10 Mtrs height .
c) 100 m length of welding seam around midship on port and stbd side.
d) Area near stern tube lo drain tank, fuel oil drain tank.
e) Top side and vertical sides were noticed to have heavy spot rust and may
require SA2.0 blasting. Area requiring SA1.0 and SA2.0 finalised.
3. Yard reported issues with 2 drain plug housing threads. Same inspected for
repair and yard advised for renewal.

4. Spares for overhaul of aux engine governor , were suggested by Wartsila and
required for overhaul. Cost of spares approx. 9000 Usd.
5. Hatch cover hydraulic rams pipe connectors and other accessories fixed on
rams suggested to be renewed by yard, as same found leaking during testing
on test bench.
6. Initially only inspection of one fwd and aft thrust pad was planned during
docking , but on inspection found pivot for forward thrust pad worn out. Thus
on further inspection and advise of surveyor all forward end thrust pads for
main engine were inspected and found the condition needs replacement.
Same replaced as per IRS-ABS Surveyors advise. This job scope was additional
and would involve additional cost of 3-4k Usd.
7. Yard damaged forward intermediate ring and forward seal cover during
removal of tail shaft. Same to be procured / provided by yard.

1.Daily meeting carried out.

2.Fixing and covering with grease of hull and sea chest anodes carried out. Cleaning
of debris from ballast tanks and fixing of anodes in DB tank carried out.
3.Fabrication of rubber retaining channel of no 1,2,3,4 & 5 in progress on leftover
areas. Renewal of rest pad in no 1 cargo hold in progress.
6.Both anchor cable secured at bitter end.
7.Final painting of ship side & bottom area in progress.
1. ME unit 1 & 2 fuel pump fitted in place with new umbrella seal cap.
Propeller pushup job completed. Intermediate shaft and tail shaft
connecting nut bolts tightened.
2. Stern tube lub oil line pressure tested.
3. Crane no 4 slew bearing turret bolts tighten to required pressure as per
manual..
4. Boiler burner unit fitted in place.

BRIEF DETAILS OF MAJOR WORKS CARRIED OUT BY SHIP STAFF
DECK
1.Fabrication and fixing face plate and top plate of fresh water vent & sewage tank
vent in progress .(3 nos FW vent head plates fabricated and fixed back). Removed DB
vent heads for ballast preparation. Inspected all ballast tanks prior boxing back.
Painting of renewed face plate of vent heads in progress.
2.Overhauling of draft gauge valve in no 3/4 void space carried out. (For midship
draft P & S)
3. Issued paint to yard. Painting of new studs for anodes in ballast tanks carried out.
6.Repairing damaged electric box covers on deck in progress.

2. AE#1 turbo charger lub oil leakage rectified. Verified operation of AE
governors in WARTSILA workshop and found satisfactory.
