Select either of the Yes options in this list. It’s possible to associate
Code::Blocks with other source code types, but for the purposes of this
book, you only need to associate it with C++ files. Click OK to complete the
action. At this point, you see the IDE.

To make your changes permanent, choose File➪Quit. The IDE will display a
message similar to the one shown in Figure 1-7. What this message is saying
is that you’ve made changes to the Code::Blocks configuration. Click Yes to
save the changes.

Windows users may experience a problem at this point. If you install


Code::Blocks in the C:\Program Files folder and don’t have Administrator
access (or if you simply opened the application as a regular user), you may
find that you can’t save any Code::Blocks settings, making using Code::Blocks
