CAREER STUDIES CERTIFICATE IN TRUCK DRIVING IS THIS PROGRAM FOR YOU?

Complete in just 1 semester / 16 credits Yes, if you:
Learn how to drive a truck in state-of-the-art simulators that allow you to -- have knowledge of standard vehicle
practice in varied road and weather conditions. Course work qualifies you and clutch operation
to obtain your Class A CDL (commercial driver’s license) from the Virginia -- have a Virginia driver’s license
Department of Motor Vehicles. -- have no major infractions on your
driving record
SELECTIVE ADMISSION
Admission to the truck driving program is selective and requires additional PROGRAM AVAILABILITY
information in addition to general admission to the college. After you apply
for general admission and are registered in the program, you will receive -- Portsmouth
information about required documents.
