Complex Combination Circuits

For more complicated combination circuits, various parts can be identified as series or parallel, reduced to their
equivalents, and then further reduced until a single resistance is left, as shown in. In this figure, the combination of
seven resistors was identified by being either in series or in parallel. In the initial image, the two circled sections
show resistors that are in parallel.

1. Determine the equivalent (total) resistance for each of the following circuits below.
2.Three V-I graphs are drawn individually for two resistors and their series combination. out of A, B, C
which one represents the graph for series combination of the other two? Give reason for your answer .

3.What would be the reading of ammeter and voltmeter in the given circuit?

2.What is (a) the highest, (b) the lowest total resistance that can be secured by combinations of four
coils of resistance 4 Ω, 8 Ω, 12 Ω, 24 Ω?

3. How can three resistors of resistances 2 Ω, 3 Ω, and 6 Ω be connected to give a total resistance of
(a) 4 Ω, (b) 1 Ω?
