For this evidence, I decided to search for information about three women who throughout history stood out for their great achievements and have inspired me to do my best every day. These women changed the way of thinking of the world and made contributions that have helped all humanity.
Hypatia of Alexandria (born
between 355 to 370 - 415) is remembered for being a Greek academic, she was also one of the first notable women in mathematics, astronomy, and philosophy.
Marie Curie (1867 - 1934) is
recognized for being a pioneer in the study of radioactivity and for being the first woman to win two Nobel Prizes, one in physics and one in chemistry.
Rosalind Franklin (1920 - 1958)
was an English chemistry, biophysicist and crystallographer, who collaborated in an important way in the knowledge of the molecular structures of carbon and graphite, in addition to DNA, RNA and viruses. These three women lived in different times and places, however they agreed in some aspects of their routines during their lives: All three were women dedicated to the exact sciences, which led them to make contributions and findings. Hypatia, for example, excelled in mathematics and Rosalid focused on chemistry. Curie too, but was also recognized for her work in physics. Fighting to achieve their goals was one of the characteristics of these women and for this they studied with dedication in what they were passionate about. Marie had to do it clandestinely, on the other hand Hypatia was supported by her father who was also her teacher. Rosalid too, she received support from her family to study at Cambridge University. Marie Curie was awarded receiving two Nobel prizes in different disciplines (physical and chemical). Rosalid received no recognition in life, her studies were rewarded when she had already died. Hypatia did not either, although she was a member and head of the Neoplatonic School of Alexandria, she did not receive any recognition. Hypatia's death was violent, she was lynched by a mob of Christians. On the contrary Marie died of anemia and was buried with honors in the Pantheon in Paris. Rosalid did not die from violent causes either. She too, like Marie contracted an illness. My routine compared to that of these women is similar in the educational aspect. Like two of them, I have received support from my family to achieve my goals. They studied the exact sciences, me too, since for my professional career it is something fundamental. The role model of them is excellent because despite life's obstacles they never gave up. I don't give up either, and I've always fought for what I want in life.
