English Project: “_________ festival”

Members: GROUP OF THREE

Description: In this project the students have to talk about a festival, in the presentation;
students must include some of the grammar and vocabulary of the course. The description of the
festival should include history, activities during the festivals, clothes or costumes.
The group must bring souvenirs for the class.

Language: (What language should I use?)

The students have to use grammar and vocabulary learned in the course.
- Recommendations (simple present: there is/there are, prepositions at/in/on, adverbs of
frequency, can/can’t – past simple: regular and irregular verbs)

 What is the name of the festival?

 What do you know about its history?
 How long does it go on for?
 How do people celebrate?(traditions, entertainment, activities and customs)
 How does the festival end?

Materials:

The students have to bring materials the day of the presentation like:
Posters, slides, Prezi, music, typical costumes, pictures, etc.

Flyer: Prepare a flyer in which you include photos and motivating phrases. Deliver it to your
classmates the day of the presentation.

Presentation:
- The students have to present their project advances in the dates indicated by the teacher.
- The day of the presentation the students have to wear formal clothing.
- The students have to bring their video filmed and edited.
- The students aren’t allowed to present the same festival. (two groups can’t present the
same one)
- The students have to present something that represents the festival which must be done
of recycled material.
