Introduction: Hypertension is one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity in
Indonesia. Treatment of hypertension is usually aimed at preventing morbidity and mortality due to hypertension. The decision to use the drug always contains consideration of the benefits and risks. The safety of antihypertensive use needs to be considered. Minimize the risk of treatment by minimizing the problem of drug insecurity. The aim is to improve the quality of life of patients with minimal risk. In 2019, hypertension was ranked fifth out of 10 most diseases in South Tangerang City Hospital. Objective: To determine the antihypertensive prescription profile in primary outpatient hypertension patients at the Tangerang City Hospital Pharmacy Installation December 2019 period. Method: This study used a quantitative descriptive method by taking primary data from all prescription sheets at an outpatient depot at the Pharmacy Installation of the South Tangerang City Hospital in the December 2019. Results and Conclusions: The results of this study are the highest percentage of several research variables are male (54.65%), age ≥ 60 years (54.05%), candesartan (21.57%), generic (68.55% ), Inhibiting substances (34.10))%), combination therapy (87.69%), drugs that affect blood (32.22%). Hypertensive patients more men aged ≥ 60 years with the selection of generic candesartan drugs or RAAS inhibitor groups in combination and some combinations with drugs that affect blood.
