To ensure that children are matched with foster families that can meet each child’s unique needs,
the assigned Foster Care Worker (FCW) will complete a family profile prior to placement of
children. The FCW will review extensively with the licensed family potential behaviors and needs
of children in care, as well as varying cultural needs children may possess.
We assess the needs of the child to determine the appropriate foster home that will meet the
child's needs in out-of-home placement. We also focus on placing children with their siblings. It
is imperative siblings are placed together to continue to cultivate their bonds and support for one
another, while maintaining their cultural and family connections.
