Cable assembly instruction

1.1. Attention for cable connection.

The 12V power supply cable must be connected correctly. If the electronic damage
caused by the faulty operation of connection, the warranty would not cover it.

1.1.1. 12v wires to control board.

While connecting the cable, please notice the slot corresponding to the buckle as below.
Demonstration as below:

Error connection(May cause damage due to short connection):

1.1.2. Power control wire

The power control wire is with 3pin of red, black and yellow.

1.1.3. Fan power supply wire

Fan power supply wire is with 4pin of green, yellow, red and black.
1.1.4 Data wire

1.1.5 12v cable to hash board

The 12V power supply cable must be connected correctly. Or the Faulty operation
of connection might cause the electronic damage to the PCBA.

1.1.6 Connection inspection

Inspect all wires connection, check if the wires are connected stably and perfectly.
2. Configuration
While carrying or moving a miner, please don’t lift through on any wire.

2.2 Network Requirement

Miner IPs Default setting is dynamic acquirement, so the Mine field must be collocated
with DHCP server or the router with enable dynamic IPs acquirement function. Also the
NTP server is required for acceleration of NTP acquirement.

3. Inspection
1) Notice the Warning tape by the side of the machine, before power on, try the shake
the miner to ensure no Fans or pieces drop down inside.
2) Inspect all the connection cable, they must be adapted by respective port, connected
correctly and tightly enough.
Note: 1. The 12V cable must be adapted with the port, any reverse connection may
cause short and burn out the chip, which would not be in the warranty.
2. Power control cable (three wire) must be connected well, or might cause the
error to control the power supply, leading to the low hashrate.
3. Connect the Fan cable securely to ensure the working condition of the miner.
4. Miner configuration.

4.1 IP acquirement status check

4.1.1 Running Software

With the “Whatsminer tools”, we can acquire all the Miners IPs, which were
connected in one network segment. In the “Detect IP” interface, click “start” bottom to
acquire the IPs of whatever number of “Room”, “Shelf”, “Layer”, etc.

4.1.2 Miner IP Query.

1) After power on the Miner for 30sec, keep pressing the IPFOUND bottom over
5sec. The IP will be shown in the software after the LED flicker several times.
2) The IP information will be shown as below.

Note: 1. If the lights are all off, please check the connection of cables.
2. If the Green or the network wire Indicator light is off, please check about the
network switch, network wire connection or any bad wire.
3. Whatsminer tools acquires the IPs only with the miner connected in a same
network segment.
4. If the software still doesn’t acquire the IPs, please press the “reset” key over 5s,
reboot the machine and warm up 30s, press IPFOUND bottom over 5s.
5. If the software acquire the IP address automatically without your any action(with
5s long press IPFOUND bottom), the IPFOUND bottom might be held pressing somehow.

4.2 Static IP Configuration(optional)

1. Access the IP with browser, logon with default username, password(root). Choose:
Configuration->Interface, then you can edit the LAN configuration. Select the Static
Address bar and press “Switch protocol”.
After the configuration, only static IP could access the configuration interface.

4.3 NTP server and Mining Configuration

4.3.1 Revise NTP address(Optional)

1) After logon, choose the option: Configuration->CGMiner Configuration, then

start the CGminer configuration.
2) In the CGminer Config interface, you can adjust or add the server address according
to the situation. There are 4 NTP server address set as default: “:-p 3.asia.pool.ntp.org”,
“-p 2.cn.pool.ntp.org”, “-p 1.cn.pool.ntp.org”, “-p 0.cn.pool.ntp.org”. Every “-p” is the
start of the NTP server address or IP.
3) After all the changes, please click Save bottom.

4.3.2 Mining Configuration

1) Access the CGminer Conf interface.

2) In this interface, you can edit the setting.
Note: After change will be effective after the control board reboot or restart the
CGMiner process.

3) Restart the CGminer program and check if the setting was effective.
Choose: Status->CGMinerStatus, you can see the status.

In this interface, click “RestartCGMiner” to restart the process.

4) Reboot the control board and check the status (both the step 3 and 4 would make the
setting effective).
Choose: System->Reboot.

Click “Perform reboot” bottom.

After 30s rebooting the control board, the page will refresh back to the Logon interface.
5. Miner’s running status
Choose: Status->CGMiner Status,

Note: 1) Inspect all the wires are correctly plugged.

Note: 1) The miner will test run for 15min. Before that, the hashrate is not effective.
The test run is still proceeding, the hashrate will be lower than the normal level.
2) If the Temperature/Fan-speed is higher that 85℃/6000rpm, the miner
controller IC would reduce the frequency of processing unit, the hashrate will come
down meanwhile. You need ensure the good work condition, such as no more than
40℃ room temperature, good ventilation.
3) If the Fan wire was not installed correctly, bad ventilation might cause the
higher temperature and lower hashrate.
4) If the data was not shown correctly with the “Effective chips” and
“Temperature” on the Status interface, please power off the miner and inspect all
the wire connection status.
