Practical guidance
You should understand how to recognise and accommodate differences in the way people use
land and buildings and to facilitate dignified, equal and intuitive use by everyone. Creating
inclusive environments welcomes diverse user needs.
You should ensure you are familiar with the related legal requirements in planning, building
regulations, health and safety as well as best practice technical standards.
You should also be aware of the RICS diversity and inclusion strategy, the RICS ?Diversity
Matters? newsletter and the RICS inclusive employer quality mark and the Building Inclusivity
report.
