Multigenre Personal Writing Portfolio

Over the course of the first four weeks of class, we will work on all different types of personal
writing in order to get to know each other, get reacquainted with writing, and practice different
styles and genres of writing.

Multigenre means that you will turn in different types or genres of writing that are all about
you!

The pieces of writing you MUST SUBMIT are:

 Personal essay
 “Around Then” poem
 “100 Things I Love” drawing/map/list
 “5 Things To Know About Me” list essay by Unknown
Author is
 Indelible Moment/Slowing Down Time licensed under

Other options to include in your portfolio:

 Rambling autobiography
 House map
 Room map
 Any other personal piece of writing from your notebook or something you have been
working on

IN TOTAL, YOU WILL SUBMIT 6 DIFFERENT PIECES OF WRITING! THESE 6 PIECES WILL MAKE
UP YOUR MULTIGENRE PERSONAL WRITING PORTFOLIO!

We will go over each of the pieces of writing you must submit in detail, so do not worry!

You can add drawings, pictures, etc. to any of your pieces to make them even more personal!
