You are on page 1of 2

We very much hope to see you at our wedding, and hope that the following information

will help out...

Directions
The church of St. Aloysius and St. Hugh's college are close to each other, on the North
side of Oxford city centre. The easiest way to find them is to go around the ring road
until you get to the Wolvercote roundabout and turn down Woodstock Road towards the
city centre.
St. Hugh's college is in St. Margaret's Road, which is on the left off Woodstock
Road after about two miles. The college is only a hundred yards up the road, on the
right. Go into the porters lodge to ask about parking. It is a 10 minute walk to the
church.
St. Aloysius is another half a mile down Woodstock Road on the right, set back
from the road in a little courtyard, just after the Royal Oak pub.

Car Parking
We suggest the 3 possibilities shown overleaf, depending on your arrival time. Please
note that most of the on-street parking is either for residents only or for a limited period
and is regularly checked by traffic wardens.

Accommodation
If you want to stay in Oxford the Friday and/or Saturday nights, we have some reserved
rooms at a hotel near the venue and at a guest house near our houses (15 minutes by taxi
from the church).
The Best Western Linton Lodge Hotel is 5 minutes walk from the college and
15 minutes from the church. To get there by car, follow the directions to St. Hugh's
college, drive past the college and turn left onto Banbury Road at the end. Take the next
right into Linton Road. Linton Lodge is 1/4 mile down on the left. Car parking is
available.
We have a very special price block booking for "The Seymour Party" of £70

be booked by September 29th. Please don't delay - book as soon as you know your plans.
Brown's Guest House is on Iffley Road, 10 yards from the end of Charles Street,
1/2 mile from the end of Cornwallis Road.
We have a special price block booking for "The Seymour Party", with single
rooms at £27, doubles/twins at £45 to £56 and 2 triple rooms (ring for price). Phone or

them on (01865) 552579 or fax on (01865) 311244.
Further possibilities can be obtained from the Oxford Tourist Information
Centre on (01865) 726871.
If you are having trouble finding anywhere to stay, do contact us and we will do
our best to help you out.
Sunday lunch
As many of you will be travelling from afar it seems a shame to all rush off as soon as
the wedding is over. We will still be around on the Sunday, and will have lunch at the
Linton Lodge at 1pm (£9.50 for a carvery and buffet). If you would like to join us,
please let us know when you RSVP, as we need to give the hotel at least a rough idea of
the numbers.

Wedding list
We have recently heard that we will be moving with Mike's job to Manchester next year.
We would ideally like your help with buying things for our home, but do not yet know
what our accommodation will be like up there, so we are not able to ask for many
specific things. We would therefore like to ask whether you would consider making a
contribution now that we could spend on furniture and other home items later on.
In addition, we will have a small list of items that we would like, although we
have just not had time to put it together yet. For those of you with internet access, the
best way to get it is from the web page
http://hepwww.rl.ac.uk/theory/seymour/weddinglist.html
Otherwise, please contact Mike's parents, Pat and Bob, on (01908) 551340. Please wait
until about the end of August, as hopefully we will have got ourselves organized by then.

RSVP
We realize that this invitation has come at fairly short notice, but please help us to plan
by replying by August 31st. If you do not know whether you can come by then, please
let us know the situation, so we at least know you received the invite. Replies can be
sent by email to M.Seymour@rl.ac.uk or by post to 63 Charles Street, Oxford, OX4
3AU.

We very much hope to see you at our wedding and send you every good wish and
happiness.

Lots of love,

Mike & Aileen.
