My Hotel experience

I still remember the first time I went to Huaraz. It was a long trip, if we’d taken any longer to
get there, we couldn´t get a room there. It was a trip with some friends. We stayed in
Copacabaña hotel; it was besides the Nevado de Copa. The view was amazing, it was a forest
landscape and, in the front, the Nevado Copa. I spent my first night acclimating to the altitude
in Huaraz. Not wanting to stray too far from the hotel, we decided to eat in the restaurant. I
think we would have lunched out if the food wasn’t good. The staff were extremely attentive
without being too “in your face”. Breakfast was included with our rate. There was plenty of
variety from cereals to fresh fruits, bacon, eggs etc, as well as a daily “chefs special”. If you get
the chance, try the sliced beef. Not normally something I would eat for breakfast, but it was
Incredible! The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, and it was a double room. If I’d gone
by myself, I’d have ordered a single room. The wifi was very fast, so I didn’t have problems to
do some videocalling to my family. if the connection had not been good, I’d been isolated to
the world. We also discovered a very well stocked convenience store a few doors up from the
hotel that had everything you could want from washing powder to water, beer, wine and
granola bars! If I hadn’t found this store, we’d have been very hungry. At the end of the day,
we enjoyed the local food and we went to the spa before leaving the hotel.
